AFP Cavaliers hailed as the champion in “UNTV Cup” Season 2 during its Championship night as it battled against second placer, PNP Responders, with the score of 74 – 73. The AFP Educational Benefit System Office is the top beneficiary for the season receiving the amount of P1.5 million.
The top two powerful forces, PNP Responders and AFP Cavaliers, fires up the Game 2 battle of the best-of-three final series of UNTV Cup Season 2 last Tuesday (July 1), at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City.
PNP responders fails to get the Championship Trophy as it loses from AFP Cavaliers with a score 75-64.
The UNTV Cup Season 2 will officially commence on February 11, 2014 at Smart Araneta. On this season’s league, the teams were given the privilege to get a maximum of two professional basketball ( PBA ) players for reinforcement, subject to certain qualifications. In addition to the participating teams of last season, the success of the advocacy inspired both Malacañan and Senate to join this upcoming season.
