Going Solo at Blue Water Sumilon Island Resort, Cebu

Half an hour away from Aguinid Falls, we arrived a few minutes before the next boat leaves the main Island, Blue Water Sumilon Island Resort is a 24-hectare coral island, located on the southern eastern tip of Cebu and is in close proximity to Dumaguete. It is the first marine protected area in the Philippines and was made a fish sanctuary in 1974 under the guidance of Suliman University Marine Reserve. I heard about it from friends who lives in Cebu and also read some blogs about their trip to Sumilon Island making me want to really include this in my lists. A lot of tourist (mostly foreign) visits at the place for a relaxing overnight stay, but for the backpackers like me, a whole day exploration I think would be enough.

13 Photos that will make you travel 13 hours away from Manila

They say your visit in Ilocos Norte wouldn’t be complete without seeing the iconic Bangui Wind Farm. And I do agree! Filipino palette have evolved from the old school bakery to European pastry shops sprouting across the city. But still, we cannot deny the fact that for us, Pinoy breads is something special, that even there are exaggerated options, you would still find a normal Filipino (like me) enjoying a hot coffee and Pan de Sal (Pan de sal means “bread of salt” in Spanish) early in the morning. And guess what, what goes behind the (bread) story, is even more fascinating.

Penshoppe Brings Lucky Blue Smith to Manila

Remember my article about the first time Lucky Blue Smith was introduced as the brand ambassador of Penshoppe – Penshoppe Gets Lucky with Lucky Blue Smith. Most of the guest on that day actually thought Lucky would be there greeting everyone who attended. But that didn’t happen, still a lot were really happy about it and the fact that Lucky being associated with one of my favorite brand is really a great move. But guess what, it’s finally happening …

Cebu South Sidetrip: Aguinid Falls

My second day was spent chasing waterfalls and visiting an island down south. I told myself to wake up early, even I was up till 2am binge watching over “Black Orphan” on iFlix. (Check out what’s new on iFlix)

After having breakfast, I was introduced to Kuya Rey, a former Manilenio who lives in Q.C. before but later decided to stay in Oslob for his family. He will be my tour guide and service for the whole day.
