Summer is all about colors! Fun, active and energetic! You can go loud but you can also go simple and clean. Just like Giordano Philippines Spring Summer 2015 Collection, where it offers a classic spin to vintage luxe with its new campaign, Retro Summer.

Sporting Giordano Classic both top and bottom, I visited Kamuning Bakery in Quezon City. It’s an old bakeshop that was established in 1939. Just like Giordano, the bakery brings back classic breads that most of our parents have once loved. It’s like time travelling back into that era when Pandesal are still twice larger as how it looks nowadays. Galetas, Bidigos, Pan De Suelo??? Names you probably don’t know or probably you heard now for the first time, but if you asked your parents or grandparents, they would probably tell you not just about it but with additional story from the past.

Galetas, Bidigos, Pan De Suelo are just some of the breads that are being sold here at Kamuning Bakery. Opened in 1939, Kamuning Bakery is considered as the oldest authentic pugon or wood-fire oven bakery and the very first bakery to open in Quezon City, Philippines.
