Our last day in Yogyakarta is one of the most pleasurable I could say for the itinerary is very light and concentrate more about shopping. Specially, for me who chooses to pick shopping instead of doing the heritage/cultural exploration.
Nothing beats a visit in a museum if you are really looking for a true cultural exploration. Interesting information and tons (and tons) of cultural discoveries is what we had when we visited one of the best museum in Yogyakarta, Indonesia located at the foot of Mount Merapi – the Ullen Sentalu Museum.
Day one of our trip in Yogyakarta introduces us to their way of living by letting us tour the village and see the culture and history through their dances.
From our early flight coming from Jakarta, we arrived at Yogya (also pronounced as Jogja) around 9 in the morning and head straight to one of the popular local restaurant called Gudeg Yu Djum.
They say that in order to understand the culture one should have to taste it! And this is actually one of the things we totally enjoyed here in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The site seeing were enclosed by endless food and restaurant hopping making us understand and learn how life differs in this side of the country.
There is nothing much to say when I breathtakingly witness one of the most awesome sunrise I’ve ever seen (as of the moment) in my entire life. The Borobudur Sunrise in the Island of Java, Yogyakarta is just an experience never to be missed when you paid a visit in Indonesia.
