Fund is seeking ideas from existing and aspiring designers, architects, DIYers, and makers from around the globe. The fund’s $10 million will help finance 100 of the craziest ideas, giving 100 people an opportunity to turn them into actual Airbnb OMG! Category listings; which are Airbnb’s collection of the most unique homes.
Redefining the dormitory concept in the Philippines comes Dormitos, the first Japanese-style capsule hostel in the Philippines. It’s first branch is centrally located at the metro’s busiest/transit Center – Cubao. Dormitos offers guest accessibility, security and privacy at a very reasonable price.
I’ve been eyeing to try this hostel since it opened, most especially after my personal trip in Japan, where capsule hostel originated. Luck have probably brought me on this day where I was able to try it finally. And being near to places like Smart Araneta Center and Cubao X made me even more excited to stay here for a night knowing that I could have other things to do around the area on my free time.

Located at Gen. Luna Corner Don Pedro Streets, Barangay Poblacion, Makati, the hostel is just near to popular hangout places in he heart of Makati. (Makati Red Light district, Century City Mall, Antel hotel etc are just some of the places near the area.)
We got a chance to meet the people behind this newly constructed place. Ms. Cyndy Jarabata, owner of the hostel, says that they need to reconstruct a lot of things at the old building just to make it to what it look like today. Thanks to their architect friend, Edwin Uy, who did the interiors of the whole place. Nice one Edwin!
