Best Free Things to do in a Day Tour in Washington DC

True to what I was told, Washington DC can be toured around for only a day or two. Actually if you just wanted to see the famous sites around the city, a day would be enough. But if you wanted to really dig deep in every single areas, or visit almost every museums, spending more than a day or two would be better. Another thing that I love about this place is that I did not even spend a penny visiting these awesome sites. Isn’t that even cooler!

I got a chance to have a taste of what it is like strolling around Washington DC, when I visited the United States, fall this year. It gave me that kind of excitement seeing these iconic establishments I’ve only seen on famous movies and TV series. If only I got enough time to really go around I could have scrutinise those famous scenes and capture it into detail. But because this was just a side trip, I can say, I spent more than enough. My original plan was to go and visit my family in Virginia Beach, but since my plane landed in Dulles, why not spend at least a day here instead of going straight home? Right?

After my 19 hours of travel from Manila to Narita to Washington, and meeting up the whole family at the airport, we decided to spend our night at the hotel near the city center – Homewood Suites by Hilton.

Travel Guide: Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei (Where to Stay, What to do in Brunei, Itinerary and a lot more)

Crossing out one Southeast Asian country on my list, I visited BRUNEI Darussalam last September 2019. I was hesitant about the idea at first but luckily I was able to meet a few Bruneians at the Trip of Wonders event organized by Indonesian Tourism. They eventually became my friends. Giving me a few more reasons to visit the country Brunei.

Brunei may not be part of your dream destination for most of the Filipinos that goes here stayed for work. In fact, Filipinos are on the 3rd as the largest non-locals in Brunei. But there are still a number of things that you can do here. Aside from visiting different famous mosques and ‘architectures’ friends from Brunei told me that exploring their food is one thing this country can offer.

Brunei is a very slow-paced, chill country. A person who is accustomed to a fast pace environment would definitely need to adjust in here. We had days that we were just hanging in coffeeshops the whole afternoon and/or just waiting for friends to come.

The people here love tourists and very welcoming. As said by my local friends, they would usually insist to tour visitors around, which is actually understandable, after all, almost everyone here owns a car.

UBE Express P2P Bus from Cubao to NAIA Schedule (Commute Guide)

Coming from North of EDSA, my usual means of traveling going to NAIA is via GRAB. I can say it is still the most convenient of it all specially if you have luggages to carry with you. Most of the time, I would schedule flights on the early morning or late night just to be able to veer away from the traffic during rush hours. The only problem that I got here is the overpricing. My fare would usually cost around Php 400 to 650 depending if there would be price surges. And I could say it is not easy on let that money go in my pocket.
