Celebrating my birthday through a party isn’t really a thing I do. I believe that being alive everyday is a kind of blessing I should celebrate instead. I am personally guilty of the fact that I usually go outdoors without any sun protection. I guess many of us do and doesn’t really make an effort to be kind to our skin. My dermatologist always reminds me that, it is a must that I do put on a protection because too much exposure to the sun can accelerate skin aging.

Some might say they actually protect their skin by using sunblock. But probably the important question to ask is, are we doing enough and are we doing it right? Try to answer first the following questions;

When I was still young, I have this perception in mind that eyeglasses and contact lenses was a status symbol. That only those people who can afford can wear it. Well, honestly saying it was half true for eyeglasses and contact lenses were a bit pricy back then. Now that it become a necessity in my life, I wish to take it back, hoping I could get back my 20/20 vision. I guess, we should really ‘Be careful what we wish for.”

I’ve been wearing eyeglasses for almost 12 years already and alternately using contact lenses whenever there is a need to take off my eyewear. Good thing, the supply and demand made these items accessible and even affordable. Recently, I’ve learned about this disposable contact lenses that can last for 16 hours without the need of using a solution to keep it moisturise throughout the day.

It wasn’t that long time ago when I found myself standing inside a department store looking for that 1 piece I would need to wear for my job interview. Back then, the internet is still too young to consult too about how to wear clothes properly, that the pages of the magazine or a spread in the newspaper or a real human being are your only resources for a peg.
