Started in year 2005, Francis Magalona Clothing Company was one of the first patriotic brands established here in the Philippines.
I got a chance to meet the owners of the brand, friends Carlo Maniquiz, Itoy Villajin, Willy Velasquez with the late Francis Magalona form as the founders of 3 Stars and a Sun.
According to Carlo, the idea of putting-up the brand came up with the suggestion of Francis Magalona, who in that time was wearing a foreign brand, to why not create a local brand instead of supporting foreign company. It was just timely that on the same year, Francis Magalona was already pushing for the “makabayan” campaign thru his music.
Recently, FILA held a meet and greet for all the supporters of the brand as well as their celebrity endorsers fronted by Bra-panese Model/Actor now base in the Philippines, Fabio Ide, flamboyant and ever beautiful host Ms. Tessa Prieto-Valdes, 2013 World Junior Championship fifth placer Filipino figure skater Michael Martinez and Philippine national rugby union team, also known as the “Volcanoes”.
TRESemme’s 2014 Runway Ready Fashion Show was held in PICC tent last June 5 and took us backstage and featured the works of renowned professionals and TRESetters Victor Ortega, Lourd Ramos, and Jing Monis.
It was a night of fashion and glamour as guests walk in gorgeous blacks. The show was hosted by international host/supermodel Joey Mead-King and was divided into three styles: Street –Style, Ready-to-wear, and Haute Couture.
