Grand Hyatt Taipei Hotel: Staying in is as good as exploring out

It was a coincidence at first, but I think It’s becoming a habit. I didn’t realise that I am booking flights that fall on my birthday. Celebrating my birthday isn’t really a thing for me that I considered it mostly as a regular day, but I think, recognising it just gave me an excuse to book a flight and travel. Last year it was Cambodia, this time I go to Taiwan. (Check out my Cambodia Vlog series)

TAIWAN 101: Things you need to know, 5-day Taipei Itinerary, Commuting Guide, Food, Budget and a lot more

Starting November 01, 2017 up to July 31, 2018, Filipinos may enter Taiwan completely visa-free (and can stay up to 14 days). Though the visa-free entry is a 9-month trial (part of Taiwan’s goodwill and efforts of the ‘New Southbound Policy’), grabbing the opportunity of not having to a apply for a Visa would really be worth it. That is the reason why, when I was denied for my supposedly Korean trip (Read: Let’s fly to Taiwan instead), without hesitation we decided to book a flight to Taiwan. And bet you, it was one great decision we had.

Continue reading, will give you things you need to know, commuting guides, apps to download and even clothes to wear when you visit Taiwan for the very first time.

8 Places to visit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia + Photography and travelling tips to enjoy your stay

It has been almost 9 years since the last time I visited Kuala Lumpur (KL), Malaysia. From Singapore we decided to cross boarder and do a 6 hour trip to Kuala Lumpur. It felt like I was riding a bus from Manila to Baguio, but in this side of the world, the 6 hour trip did not include a horrible traffic like in EDSA, Manila.

I undermined Kuala Lumpur before as a travel destination. Maybe because I was not too knowledgeable yet about the place (it was my first travel outside the country back then) and I was told that their ain’t really much to see in this side of the city. Our one day tour in the KL brought us to Central Market, Aquaria KLCC, KLCC park, Suria KLCC and the famous Petronas Tower. It was just a quick tour that made me feel like ‘Kuala Lumpur is just like Manila and I guess a day trip is already enough, their ain’t a lot to see in here.’ That thinking was a long time ago but guess what, I ate those words just recently.

AirAsia RedQ tour + Things I learn from my short visit at the RedQuarters (KL Day Zero) #AirAsiainKualaLumpur

This isn’t a mall nor a campus but rather the headquarters of AirAsia in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. The AirAsia RedQ (RedQuarters) is such a model office one can really look up to specially those who are planning or already have a business of their own. But what I discovered in this place wasn’t just an airline company, it is more than just ‘a company’ and I felt that when I got a chance to visit the HQ even just for a short period of time.

Indonesia Tour: Bali Cooking Class at Rumah Desa

Before the trip in Indonesia, I was already asked to choose whether to take the Coffee Tour at Bali Pulina or to do a Cooking Class at Rumah Desa. And because I felt that the coffee tour is something that I can also do here in the Philippines and with my love for cooking and good food I decided to pick the latter.
