Travel Guide: Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei (Where to Stay, What to do in Brunei, Itinerary and a lot more)

Crossing out one Southeast Asian country on my list, I visited BRUNEI Darussalam last September 2019. I was hesitant about the idea at first but luckily I was able to meet a few Bruneians at the Trip of Wonders event organized by Indonesian Tourism. They eventually became my friends. Giving me a few more reasons to visit the country Brunei.

Brunei may not be part of your dream destination for most of the Filipinos that goes here stayed for work. In fact, Filipinos are on the 3rd as the largest non-locals in Brunei. But there are still a number of things that you can do here. Aside from visiting different famous mosques and ‘architectures’ friends from Brunei told me that exploring their food is one thing this country can offer.

Brunei is a very slow-paced, chill country. A person who is accustomed to a fast pace environment would definitely need to adjust in here. We had days that we were just hanging in coffeeshops the whole afternoon and/or just waiting for friends to come.

The people here love tourists and very welcoming. As said by my local friends, they would usually insist to tour visitors around, which is actually understandable, after all, almost everyone here owns a car.

Review: The 2-hour Sightseeing River Cruise in Brunei (Brunei River Cruise)

Well, I guess we all have that kind of travel that we just wanted to stay inside the hotel and do nothing. I am not saying that our hotel accommodation was top of the line when it comes to room and service, but I guess the hazy weather is partly to be blame on it.

Good thing, my friend Gzul, who is a local, came to the rescue. After exchanging a few text messages, here he was already knocking on our hotel doorstep. It was good thing that he was free to tour us for commuting is a bit hard here in Begawan and having a friend to drive you around would be the next best thing to do.

Continue reading and will tell you more on how our day 1 looks like.

Tokyo Disneysea has been one of the top places I told my self I should visit when I come to Japan. And just recently, on my first visit, it came into reality. Tokyo Kimono Experience in a Day at Asakusa, Japan (#NognoginTokyo 2018 Day 3)

On our 3rd day in Tokyo, Japan, we scheduled a “TOKYO KIMONO EXPERIENCE” to fully embrace and understand the culture. I did try to wear Kimono a few times ago but having to do it here in Japan is something I am really looking forward to. Imagine, I can roam around without the hassle of being judge (specially if you do it here in Manila) and act like I was definitely part of the scenery (I hope you’ll getting what I am saying).
