Historic Cebu Pacific-Airbus Deal: Expanding Horizons with New Routes and Unmatched Connectivity

On July 2, 2024, Cebu Pacific made history by announcing a landmark deal with Airbus, placing an order for up to 152 A321neo aircraft worth a staggering US$24 billion (PHP 1.4 trillion) based on list prices. This is the largest aircraft order in Philippine aviation history, marking a significant milestone for the local airline industry. This bold move underscores Cebu Pacific’s commitment to supporting the Philippines’ growth and expansion.

On a recent event, held at Brittany Hotel BGC, I was invited along with some bloggers, media, and content creators from Manila, Cebu, and Davao. Here, Cebu Pacific announced amazing deals and updates regarding the company.

In the third quarter of the year, when this deal is expected to be finalized, it will solidify Cebu Pacific’s position as a leading player in the aviation sector. Following this exciting development, Cebu Pacific continues to broaden its network across its key hubs, including Manila, Clark, and Cebu.

CEB is resuming its flights from Clark International Airport to Davao, General Santos, Iloilo, and Puerto Princesa, enhancing connectivity for travelers from northern and central Luzon to the Visayas-Mindanao region. Additionally, CEB is set to launch new routes: from Manila to Kaohsiung and Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport, as well as from Cebu to Masbate, San Vicente, and Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport.

These expansions not only highlight Cebu Pacific’s commitment to providing more travel options for its customers but also emphasize its role in bolstering regional connectivity and supporting the local economy.
