Felip Pushes Artistic Boundaries with ‘7sins’: A Journey Through Human Emotions
Felip’s newest album, ‘7sins,’ is a compelling exploration of human flaws and emotions. While not focused on religion, the album delves into the complexities of human nature, encouraging listeners to confront and embrace their true selves.
Released on July 5, 2024, ‘7sins’ features nine tracks, with “Envy” as its standout focus. Available on streaming platforms and Felip’s YouTube channel, the album presents a rich tapestry of songs that address various human sins such as wrath, greed, and pride. The concluding track, “Ache,” reflects on redemption and acceptance, showcasing Felip’s multifaceted storytelling and musical prowess.
Despite his busy schedule with SB19, Felip dedicated seven months to meticulously writing, recording, and mixing the album. Collaborating closely with Luke April of PLAYERTWO and Isagani Palabyab, Felip’s late-night sessions paid off in creating this genre-bending masterpiece.
The album features notable collaborations, including Belgian-Filipino artist Cyra Gwynth, who co-wrote and features in the songs “Greed” and “Lust.” Additionally, Warner Music Philippines artist PLAYERTWO joins Felip on “Gluttony,” following their previous successful collaborations on “FLYYY” and “Pagdali.”
The excitement surrounding ‘7sins’ culminates in Felip’s solo concert, ‘7sins the Album Concert,’ on July 27, 2024, at the Space at OneAyala. Fans can expect an immersive experience reflecting Felip’s creative vision and artistic style.
