Avida Land just unveiled the massive outdoor mural titled “In Her Future Memories,” which won the South Park District Mural Design Competition. This artwork is not just big; it’s a vibrant celebration of Filipino artistry, and it’s set to be the talk of the town!
The talented artist behind this masterpiece is Jhocel “Anthony Marahuyo” Malicsi and his fantastic team of thirteen visual artists. They transformed one of the exterior walls of the South Park Center into a 20-meter-tall canvas using paints provided by Davies Paints. The mural, a fusion of technology and nature, tells a captivating visual story with vivid colors.
Now, what’s special about this mural is that it’s the largest creative masterpiece in the South. Standing tall at the South Park District in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, it’s expected to attract art enthusiasts and visitors alike. The district is home to Avida Towers Ardane and Avida Towers Altura, making it a vibrant and thriving community.
Tess Tatco, Avida Land’s Marketing Head, can’t hide her excitement about South Park District’s newest attraction. She envisions people from different cities visiting the mural and invites everyone to experience it in person. “Come see ‘In Her Future Memories’ for yourself,” she says, “step beneath the towering canvas, feel the pulse of the city and nature merge, and rediscover the charm of the South.”
The mural’s theme, “Part City, Part Nature, Pure South,” is beautifully captured by a female cyborg blending with a backdrop of tropical flower. The imagery invites us to imagine a hopeful future where progress and nature coexist harmoniously. It’s a vision of concrete skyscrapers rising amidst vibrant flora, evoking a sense of nostalgia and connection to one’s hometown.
What’s remarkable is that this artwork goes beyond its physical form. It encourages reflection and creative expression, allowing passersby and art lovers to capture their special moments and share them online. So, if you’re in the area, don’t miss the chance to explore this incredible piece of art at South Park District, National Road, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
