Astoria Current is the ideal location for people seeking a lively and exciting beach holiday because of its aesthetic that caters to the likes of the hip and the stylish. The resort’s brilliant white architecture is likely to impress the contemporary tourist with two magnificent pools, a spa, and a gym. Aquatic adventures and culinary pleasures abound in the busy section of the island, which is Station 3.
It is my first time staying here in Astoria Current and honestly, I was enticed by its color (I love yellow!) and its very hip design.
This seaside hotel has 205 sumptuous, brightly decorated rooms with all the conveniences one needed. Its striking interiors and architecture were created with today’s millennial generation in mind, making it the ideal location for your beach vacation.
This youthful paradise has 2 opulent pools, 3 dining options, a wellness spa, and a gym!
LOCATION
Astoria Current is in Station 3, just in front of the white beach. It is the less crowded area compared to station 1 and 2 and got a bigger shore-line. There are also a lot of restaurants and stores to visit within the place.
If you are planning to do water sports activity or island hopping? The starting point is just a few meters away.

SWIMMING POOL
The huge swimming pools here at ASTORIA CURRENT could be one of the highlights of your stay. The pool stretches from the middle of the hotel up to the restaurant area. The pool also an area suited for the kids and for adults who would want to do laps. The palm trees in the middle gives its tropical vibe. There are also graphite pool chairs in the middle where you can just chill and have your favorite drinks.
During weekends, poy dancers can also be seen performing in this area which adds flare to your stay.
BUFFET BREAKFAST
One of the things that I always look forward to on a hotel staycation is the buffet breakfast. Aside that it sets the quality of the f&b serve in the hotel, it also plays a big role in deciding whether to stay or not.
The variety was just okay having an option to pick either seafood, chicken, pork, or beef. There is also bread, salad, egg and fruit station. A soup area, pancake and a handful of drinks to choose from. Food is filling enough but taste is just average.
Buffet opens at 5:00am to 10:00am.
Rooms / Accommodation
You can have four different room choices here at Astoria Current: Deluxe, Premium Deluxe, Superior Rooms & Standard Rooms.
Rooms differ in sizes and position within the hotel. The bigger the space and the nearer it is to the beach or pool the more expensive it gets.
What we got was deluxe room located at the second floor. It was a spacious room with two queen size bed.

We booked the room via klook for only Php 4,600. Almost same price when you book directly at the website but a little affordable when you booked it with partner sites.
Summary
Astoria Current can easily attract the young crowd due to its very colorful interior and large pools. I love that the hotel stretches up to the beach front making it easy for guest to either go to the beach or stay at the pool. There are also tons of different restaurants and stores to choose from if you decided to go out of the hotel. Another good thing is that they are providing a welcome drinks and snacks which you can avail anytime within your stay. We claim ours just before we left Boracay.
Though staff and crew were pretty nice, but somehow a little too slow with regards to room service. I also had difficulty connecting to the WIFI making it hard to work inside the room. Maybe because of where our room was situated, but nevertheless it is something they can work on too. The Smart TV was a bit small for the room and a little bit outdated that we had difficulty casting videos or even watching Netflix. Breakfast choices can also be improved.
By the way, the hotel also provides airport transfer which cost Php 1,000. It’s a bit pricy compare to what we had via Klook, which cost Php 650.
