The Dapitan Arcade in Manila is a great place to shop for souvenirs, gifts, and other items. There are many shops and stalls selling a variety of items, including tableware, capiz lights, metal furniture, house decors, wood crates, vintage items, decorative pots, jewelry cases, and pedestal tables. The prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere is lively and fun.
The best way to visit is by bringing your own car. Though parking space is a bit limited, visiting at an earlier time is advisable.
If a private vehicle is not an option, then commuting would be the next best thing. Here is how to commute to Dapitan Arcade.
Route #01 – From SM North EDSA
- From SM North EDSA, walk towards West Avenue corner EDSA and look for jeeps heading to Quiapo or Pier.
- Go down at Kanlaon Street cor Quezon Avenue.
- From there you can take a tricycle going to Dapitan Arcade. Or if not, you can also walk two blocks to reach the place.
- There are also jeepneys with “Del Monte / Mayon / Dapitan / Welcome Rotonda” sign that you can ride.
Route #02 – From Cubao
- From Cubao. Ride a jeep going to Quiapo and get off at Welcome Rotonda. Walk across the road towards Burger King which is along Kanlaon street.
- Look for jeepneys with “Del Monte / Mayon / Dapitan / Welcome Rotonda” sign that you can ride. Or rent a trike and go down at Dapitan Arcade. It’s just 2 blocks away.
Route #03 – From Pasay, Pedro Gil or Quiapo Area
- Take a jeepney ride with “Dapitan” sign at Libertad, Pedro Gil, or anywhere along Taft Avenue, up to Quezon Boulevard in Quiapo.
- This jeepney passes by Dapitan Arcade, so just go down and ask the driver to let you off.
Route #04 – From Sta. Cruz and Tondo Area
- Take jeepney along Avenida with “Munoz Blumentritt Retiro” sign.
- Go down at Mayon Street.
- Along Mayon Street, look for a jeepney ride with “Mayon Del Monte Welcome Rotonda” sign.
- Ride one of these jeepneys and ask the driver to drop you off at Dapitan Arcade.
Route #05 – From Muñoz, Quezon City
- This is for passengers coming from Munoz, LRT-1 Roosevelt Station, Project 7-8, and nearby areas.
- Look for a jeepney bound to Sta. Cruz via “Del Monte”
- Go down at Mayon Street and Walk towards A. Bonifacio Market along Mayon Street.
- There is a jeepney terminal here with “Del Monte Dapitan Mayon Welcome Rotonda” signs.
- Ride one of these jeepneys and ask the driver to drop you off at Dapitan Arcade.
