realme Buds Air 2 Neo – High-End Features for a lower Price

Revved up your day-to-day living by getting the new earbuds from realme – the new realme Air 2 Neo. With its new and upgraded design that comes in two colors – Active Black and Calm Gray.

What I got was the active black, though I honestly prefer the calm gray for the reason that it is easier for me to locate if I drop it or placed it inside my bag.

The Buds Air Neo 2 also has a “gleaming mirror design” in the earbud tips to reflect varying colors in different angles, supplemented by a matting process, turning the earbuds into a work of art. The earbud tips feature smart touch functionality, allowing users to toggle earbud settings with just a light tap.

It’s light and will not really feel heavy in the ear. From the previous rod shape, realme manage to upgrade the design into a bean but it still adopts the curvy aesthetic of the previous generation. It fits perfectly in the ear canal which helps improves noise cancellation.

And speaking of noise cancellation, the Buds Air 2 Neo has it. This is a feature mostly seen only in high-end flagship earbuds and headphones. With this, I would not need to worry about the noise in my surroundings and can be free to enjoy music or videos as much as I want.

With active noise cancellation of up to 25dB, the realme Buds Air 2 Neo monitors external noise through a feed-forward microphone, allowing the earbuds to send out a reverse anti-noise sound to cancel it out. It can filter out most low-frequency noises, including the rumble of airplanes, the subway, and other transportation noises. It also cancels out the noise of home appliances so that you can immerse yourself in music or work without being disturbed.

I did use it mostly on my runs and enjoyed it so much. Though whenever I tried running while music is turned off, I can basically hear the rubble of the wind hitting the earbuds. Turning the music on, you’ll definitely hear a bass boost in the device that will give us a deeper and richer audio experience. Rain, sweat, or water splashes wouldn’t be a problem for realme Buds Air 2 Neo supports IPX5 water resistance.

Another feature that I totally enjoy with the Buds Air 2 Neo is Transparency Mode, which enables me to listen to ambient sound with just one click. Since the in-ear design brings physical noise cancellation, the Transparency Mode makes it easy to talk to others without taking off the headphones even once.

Entertaining calls in crowded places wouldn’t be a problem especially with Buds Air 2 Neo’s dual microphone that has a powerful noise reduction system supported by the ENC noise canceling algorithm, which significantly reduces surrounding noise during a call, allowing the other person to hear it more clearly and have a more engaging conversation.

Battery life wouldn’t be a problem with Buds Air 2 Neo because this unit can last for about 20 hours with ANC turned on, the same length of time for most other earbuds in the market in normal operation. With ANC turned off, the Buds Air 2 Neo can last up to 28 hours, a 65 percent increase from the 17 hours provided by the previous generation. With that, you can enjoy longer usage within the day. And If it needs charging, with only 10 minutes of charging time, you’ll get 180 minutes of playback. Here’s what you can get in this unit.

  • 1.5hr to charge 100% (Earbuds)
  • 10min of charging for 3hr playback (Earbuds + Charging Case)
  • 35hr battery life in normal mode connected Bluetooth
  • 28hr total playback

For a richer gaming experience with headphones, realme has upgraded the Game Mode with latency as low as 88ms — the industry’s lowest. That’s a reduction of 35 percent from the previous generation. Now, playing games would be better with a more sync sound and pictures.

The realme Buds Air 2 Neo will automatically connect to your phone as soon as you open the charging case. A smart pop-up animation and power information provide what you need in just a second. Google Fast Pair will help you set up the connection when you’re pairing for the first time.
