realme C12 Features At Par With Higher-Priced Phones

Staying connected is now essential at this time when we barely see our family and friends. Other than social connectivity, most of us rely on our mobile phones for entertainment and to tell our daily stories through photos and videos.

REALME REVIEW 02_PHOTO COMPARISSON_

With the launch of the realme C-series, the smartphone unveils realme C12. Design-wise, it looks strikingly similar to realme C15 with a full-screen and it’s Geometric Gradient Design. If you’re one of those whose phone keeps on slipping from your hands, realme has the solution with the back cover’s texture designed for a comfy grip.  With this back cover, you do not have to worry about scratches and fingerprints marks.

One of the main features of the C12 is the camera being the first in the C-series to have a quad camera to give you that crisp and clear snaps. The 13MP main camera was also designed for a more rapid and precise focus capable of capturing clear images from a long distance with its 4x zoom.

The C12 also comes with a B&W and Retro lens and a Macro lens which you can use for that super minute detail shot.

Selfies will be a breeze with the 5MP selfie cam that comes with AI beautification function, HDR mode, and portrait mode. You can also try a wide-angle selfie with the C12’s Panoselfie mode.

Between snaps using realme C12 and photos taken with an iPhone, you can see that the C12’s camera is pretty decent considering that it’s a budget phone.

The guys at realme also equipped the C12 with Google lens which is very handy if you need a quick search or an auto-translation for texts.

Storing your photos or videos will not be a problem with the 64GB storage which is expandable up to 256GB while the 3GB RAM allows you to run apps smoothly.

It’s MediaTek Helio G35 processor allows you to open multiple apps which is great if you mostly do tasks on your phone while listening to music or up for some movie marathon. Gamers will definitely love this with C12’s high benchmark score.

Multi-tasking would definitely use up power but with the C12’s 6000mAh mega battery, it can last around 28 hours while you binge watch on YouTube, around 46 hours if you’re just making calls, 60 hours with Spotify, over 23 hours while you browse on Instagram and a little over 10 hours when playing mobile games.

The C12’s battery will definitely not let you down, compared to an iPhone’s battery life which tends to drain fast when connected to WiFi for a couple of hours, the C12 can last of more than 2 days while connected to WiFi.

Aside from its Super Power Saving Mode, C12 is also capable of OTG reverse charging.

Security-wise, realme C12 supports fingerprint sensor and facial recognition features. It also has the Personal Information Protection which will safeguard your privacy and prevent any personal information from leaking which is a good feature compared to other brands that have data leaks once in a while.

Before I forget, I personally like the Dual Mode Music Share and the built-in Dark Mode option. The Dual Mode Music Share is simply genius sharing and the Dark Mode just helps my eyes calm down a bit from too much screen time.

Here’s a quick look on the specs:

  • 6000mAh Mega Battery
  • Supports Reverse Charging
  • 57-Day Super Long Standby
  • 16.5cm (6.5”) Mini-drop Fullscreen with 88.7% Screen-to-body Ratio
