A Decade with Breville: Premium Appliance Brand’s Virtual Festival Celebrates Everything About Coffee

Breville Coffee Festival Year2

Coffee is a huge part of our lives. It starts our mornings, gives us a kick of inspiration throughout the day, and for the really passionate ones, even ease us into a laid-back evening. Everyone has their own signature go-to caffeine shot—and Breville Philippines is here to make sure that we keep our intimate relationship with our favorite cups even in the comfort of our homes.

To celebrate its tenth year of providing good cups of coffee, the premium appliance brand is throwing a month-long Coffee Festival—it’s second after last year’s widely successful event. While the celebration will be held virtually, the message remains the same: Breville is here to help everyone enjoy cafe-quality coffee at home by connecting everyone to the experts. Participants can expect a wide variety of sessions that will cover anything and everything about coffee, from creating latte art down to using it for desserts.

Part of the month-long event is The Breville Coffee Hub, a series of Facebook Live Sessions which will feature experienced coffee masters who will share their insights and experience about the food, beverage, and wellness industry in general. Featuring experts like Chef Edward David Mateo of the La Royale Patisserie Food Group, Dave Dource—Academic Director of Barista Guild Asia – Philippine Chapter, and award-winning chef Louise Mabulo, the event opens the doorway for everyone to achieve their own Masterchef dreams. Also joining the event are Robert Francisco and Pacita Juan of the Philippine Coffee Board, Inc.

Learn about how to make coffee-flavored desserts with Chef Mateo on September 4 and learn tips and techniques on how to pull off latte art with Dave Dource on September 5. Chef Mabulo takes over on September 11 to teach about how to maximize coffee for both food and non-food uses—a topic that is particularly important for the brand as it calls for everyone to master sustainable ways of living at home.

Other events will include virtual sessions on how to use coffee for cooking, the art of science of third-wave coffee, and many more.

Aside from these, however, Breville will also be having the Pour Your Art Out: A Virtual Latte Art Challenge which will tap into the creative side of the coffee culture. In this year’s session, the brand invites talented baristas and latte artists to compete by creating their best latte designs. The contest is open to all so anyone who has a passion for coffee and a flair for art can join.

The third part of the event is the Coffee Rush Challenge, the first virtual baking competition that the brand will be holding during its festival. With home baking on the rise lately and the general public developing an even heightened palate for desserts, Breville is inviting everyone to participate in the event which will choose the best dessert inspired by our favorite morning cup of happiness.
