Huawei has just recently announced another smartwatch option that could top its predecessor when we talk about its price point. With an improved user experience giving an estimated 2 weeks-worth of battery life, Huawei Watch GT2e, got a more sporty design and is price for only Php 6990. Can this be a good alternative to the Huawei Watch GT2? Let’s see.
I was able to get my hands with this unit a few days ago and was amaze on how gorgeous this unit is. The new version of Huawei Watch GT2 comes in 4 different colors, the original Graphite Black and Lava Red and the new Mint green and Icy White options.
What I got is the Graphite Black that snugged fittingly in my wrist. I just love how comfortable the unit and lightweight it is.
The box is very straightforward containing the unit, user manual, type-c cable and the watch dock, which you can basically connect to your computer. To fully charged it, you would need to charge the unit for less than 2 hours.
Just like the GT2, the 2e is also minimalistic and robust, but the latter features a sandblasted surface for better texture. The radial patterns bezel on the surface subtly reflect light as well, creating a mesmerizing effect that changes with the angle of light shone on the watch. It is paired with physical 2 push buttons that actually gives it a more sporty feel overall. Huawei Watch GT2e also supports touch, and touch and hold functionality.
The Huawei Watch GT2e has a 46mm case with a unibody design that integrates the dial. In terms of the watch strap it is now directly connected to its actual body, but still interchangeable.
The smartwatch is fully water resistant for up to 5meters, just suited for taking bath or normal swimming. Here is the full specs of the unit.

To get started, as usual, you would need to connect the unit to your phone by downloading the Huawei Health App which is available on both the google store and app store. Once downloaded, open the Bluetooth, look for the smartwatch model on the app, connect and pair it.
