It is always a wonderful feeling to be doing something good for other people. That is why when World Vision contacted me to be part of their awesome campaign, I instantly said yes. We all need to hear an uplifting story specially this time of the year where a lot of not so good things are headlining the newspaper.
Along with Ambassadors Bianca Umali, Inigo Pascual and Endo Pineda, I joined the launch of World Vision’s experiential booth called, “Hope Town.”
Keep on reading and will tell you more about it and the activity we did on that day.
Putting innovation on top of mind, World Vision have decided to bring their recipients closer to people. Letting everybody know the whole story and feeling it in a way it would be closer to reality.
World Vision launched “Hope Town”, an experiential booth featuring a day in the life of one of its sponsored children, Nica. The public gets to witness Nica’s story come to life as they enter the booth which is an exact replica of her home and community in North Cebu. At the end of the walkthrough awaits another exciting experience in a whole new dimension thru a VR video with a 360 perspective of Nica’s life.
The unveiling of Hope Town was attended by World Vision Ambassadors Inigo Pascual, Enzo Pineda, and Bianca Umali together with World Vision National Director Rommel Fuerte. Also Hope Town Advocates/Bloggers like Earth Rullan, Ed Uy, Jeman Villanueva, Ria Hazel Lumandog, Rod Magaru and Rodel Flordeliz (me) were also became part of the activities.
“We invite everyone to become part of the transformational development that is happening in the lives of the most vulnerable children. As our Hope Town Experiential Booth ushers you into the journeys of our communities, I pray that God will make known to you the path of life that is full of joy and blessings forever. Thank you for your support to the Filipino children and to World Vision Philippines,” said Fuerte.
At the event, the Ambassadors and the advocates were group into three. I was paired with fellow advocate Ed Uy and Ambassador Bianca Umali and formed the Blue team, while Inigo Pascual, Rod Magaru and Ria Hazel Lumandog compose the Orange Team, and Enzo Pineda, Jeman Villanueva and Earth Rullan composes the Pink Team. The goal was to roamed around the mall and invite the most number of people to visit and see what the Hope Town has to offer. The more people who visits wearing our color wins!
Enzo and Inigo’s team tied and win the challenge. Either way, we all still feel winners being able to participate and encourage people to see how a small amount of money can change someone else’s life.
Catch the first run of Hope Town at the TriNoma Cinema lobby (4th floor in front of Krispy Kreme) until February 09, 2020.
Hope Town is made possible with a partnership from brand activation company Excite Inc., Max’s Restaurant, ComCo Southeast Asia and with the help of World Vision advocates Rodel Flordeliz of Nognog in the City, Ria Lumandog of Sugar Smile, Rod Magaru of The Rod Magaru Show, Earth Rullan of Earthlingorgeous, Ed Uy of Where is Ed Uy?, and Jeman Villanueva of Orange Magazine TV.
