Yes, design also plays a big role on how I pick my gadget, because what I want is something that could easily match my day-to-day outfits.
And it is good to know that all the points that I am looking for matches what the new Huawei Band 4E gives. It is compact, simple, comfortable and got a really nice design.
Continue reading and will tell you more about my first-hand experience about the product.

The Huawei Band 4E Features
The new HUAWEI Band 4E has a 0.5-inch PMOLED display and weighing just 13grams with strap included, the body itself only weighs 6 grams. The woven strap comes in dual color designs and are more breathable than ever.
And speaking of Woven Straps, HUAWEI had made it possible to make it environmentally friendly by using recycled yarn as its material. But even it is like that, HUAWEI did not compromise on the most important thing about it – comfort.
The body is also detachable and can be attached to this all new clothing buckle that comes in the box. This buckle allows you to move the detachable face from your wrist to other items of your clothing for an unnoticeable, more intelligent analysis of your fitness and health activities.
I tried attaching it to my shoes while I was running and I actually love that it is super light that I do not even notice it is attached to it. Worried about it getting loose? No, because it snug perfectly that it will be hard for the face to be detached even if you are doing other sports like basketball, volleyball or tennis.
Will talk about that special feature in a while but first lets go and check out the other straps.

Match your OOTD with 6 color Options
As I said a while ago, design also plays a big role whenever I am picking a certain gadget. Good thing that the HUAWEI Band 4e comes in 6 different colors At least I can be able to mix and match it suited to my outfit of the day.
- Misty Grey
- Sakura Coral
- Seaweed Green
- Ceylon Yellow
- Cobalt Violet
- Alizarin Red
These fun straps are highly durable and super easy to adjust. Actually it can snug easily on your wrist because it is also stretchable. I just hope they would release plain colors soon.
Data in one Touch
As said by HUAWEI, the Band 4E can typically last for up to 12 days used, and up to 21 days of battery life in Standby. If you are an intensive user, you can actually use it up to 40 hours of non-stop action.
The Band is very straight forward as it gives you all the data that you needed with just a press of a button. The face can give information about your steps accumulated, calories burn, distance, sleep monitoring and other sports data information. It can even remind you from a message or a phone call. You can set an alarm, activity reminder and even find your phone if you felt that you misplace it.
You can explore more of its feature by downloading the phone app called HUAWEI HEALTH. You can simply sync your unit to your phone, so all the data can simply be recorded on to it.
I monitored my sleep for a few days since I got it and as you can see haha. I got a weird sleeping pattern.
Though I can honestly say that I would get you a bit of time to explore and go around the app. But with regular used, you’ll get to it over time. Hopefully an upgrade and more user-friendly app would be develop soon.
Here is my calories which I burned walking.
And the total distance I traveled.
And my favorite, the number of steps per day.
Buckle Up for Performance Tracking
I guess this is one of the highlight of this tracker. Being your go to sports fitness mate! Having that very light weight, you can simply use the improve clothing buckle, attached it to your shoes and let it evaluate your performance.
It is suited specifically for basketball but I can say it can also be used to track other almost related sports like volleyball or tennis where foot works are truly involve.
By setting the app to food mode, and attaching your HUAWEI Band 4e to your shoes, switching it to basketball mode before hitting the start, you can easily check your real-time performance date that includes the following:
- vertical jumps
- vertical jump height (maximum and average vertical jump height, and individual jump heights)
- hang time (maximum and average hang time, and individual hang times)
- moving speed (max and average moving speed, and moving speed distribution)
- workout duration
- distance covered
- calories burned
- step count
- active time
- active time percentage
Basketball Date Monitoring
- Basic Motion Data – Duration, distance, number of steps, calories, active time/percentage, and maximum sprint speed
- Basketball jump data – Number of vertical hops, vertical hop height, and duration
- Score Evaluation – Comprehensive score and sub-item score
And because I am not really a basketball player, I tried using the Foot Mode during my run and I was able to get a detailed foot strike analysis. The band monitor date about 7 running form metrics, and I can check the running metrics and corresponding analysis and suggestion during running via the mobile app. This can actually help me reduce injury risks and improve my efficiency in running.
You can simple insert the light weight body into this usb jack when charging.
To summarise it all here is what I can say
