Here is something to add on your watch list next year. Get ready to explore new flavors and business opportunities as the region’s largest trade show dedicated to food and beverage launch a broader F & B exhibit with its new name THAIFEX-Anuga Asia. Previously known as THAIFEX World of Food Asia, the organizers are ecstatic over the partnership with Koelnmesse. As the annual trade show nears its third decade, the Thailand Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and the Thailand Chamber of Commerce team up with the trade fair specialist based in Cologne, Germany. Koelnmesse is the organizer of the largest food fair in the world, Anuga. This partnership would mean a broader exposure to the international food and beverage industry.
In a question and answer session with Ms. Natiya Suchinda, the Director of Office of Agricultural and Industrial Trade Promotion, Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce in Thailand, she mentioned that Filipino entrepreneurs were regular participants of THAIFEX. This year’s participants were approximately 500 Filipino businessmen from the food and beverage industry. Filipino entrepreneurs rank #10 in the number of participants in the 2019 food and beverage trade show and the number of participating brands from the Philippines are still expected to increase in the upcoming THAIFEX-Anuga ASIA 2020. The food and beverage fair aims to introduce Asia’s best food and beverage products to the international market and open opportunities for the region’s local food producers and manufacturers to earn a niche in the global trade.
Next year’s THAIFEX-Anuga ASIA exhibit zones include Asia’s Herb to the World, Asia’s Best Franchises, New Faces: The Provincial Oriented which introduces products from Thailand’s local entrepreneurs, and Standard of Organics among others.
Other exciting zones to look forward to on THAIFEX-Anuga ASIA 2020 include:
- Street Food to the World zone which introduces quality street food products to the international food scene;
- Free-from Products zone which highlights gluten-free, lactose-free, glucose-free, chemical-free, and MCFA-free products;
- The Best of Functional Food zone which features Functional Food products, Vegan food, and Novelty food products;
- New Protein Sources (Insect/Plant) zone exhibits new protein sources and processed protein products from insects and plants;
- Excellence Food Ingredients and the Hidden Story of Fish Sauce, Sriracha, Coconut Cream, and Coconut Milk which tells the real stories behind Thailand’s world-famous products.

THAIFEX-Anuga ASIA 2020 is happening on May 26 to 30, 2020 at Challenger Halls 1-3 and Impact Exhibition Center Halls 5-12 at Impact Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok, Thailand.
