I visited Beard Papa’s branch recently here at ground floor of Promenade, Greenhills. I’ve been hearing about the brand even before I went to Japan last year but honestly speaking this would be my first time tasting it. A friend once told me that whenever she would be visiting Japan, she would always include a visit at Beard Papa in her itinerary. And because of the stories I’ve been hearing about, I felt that it is about time to really have a taste of it.
Beard Papa has been in existence since 1999 in Osaka, Japan. It was known to serve the finest cream puff in the world and now already have more than 40 shops in 15 nations and regions. Trivia: It was in the year 1980’s when a Japanese baker named Yuji Hirota developed the two-layered, stuffed treat in which a creamy blend of custard and cream is present in the middle. The name Beard Papa was inspired from Yuji Hirota’s lengthy, fluffy and white beard.
And just in time, Beard Papa’s is now celebrating its 20th year in the industry and as part of its system, they just made it possible to extend the celebration to its valued customers.
Beard Papa is currently offering its limited Langue de Chat puff. Aside from that if you Buy 3 pie puff and 3 Langue de Chat puff you’ll get 20% off the original price. Awesome!
