JKAS Catering Services expanded its horizon as it opens a restaurant / events place located along Congressional avenue. Highlighting a very affordable buffet and ala carte, dining at JKA’s Place Restaurant and Catering could be both easy on the pocket and satisfying.

JKAS Food Services has been a long time provider of catering services for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, formal or informal occasions. For almost 5 years of operation they have manage to stay on track achieving success in the catering arena. They have been known for being flexible when it comes to menu customisation fit to their request and budget.
Stepping up the game, JKAS expanded its services by putting up a physical restaurant and events place located at 618-B Congressional Avenue, Project 8 Quezon City.
JKAS Place – The Restaurant
JKas Place restaurant covers half of the huge place in Congressional Avenue. The area can actually accommodate approximately 100-150 people that can usually extends up to 300 when the other half of the area is occupied. JKA’s Place is pretty much accessible being situated just along the road. From SM North EDSA, it will only take you 10-15 minutes or even earlier if traffic isn’t so bad. If you decided to bring your car, parking would not also be a problem. Actually most of their clients are family or group of friends who usually do a walk-in and could probably came from a long drive or a trip from the North.
The interior is simple and straightforward. JKA’s also place a bar where customers can simply order drinks. Soon, JKA’s is also planning to put up a small coffee kiosk/cafe to entertain guest who would love to dine in early in the morning and/or grab coffee and snack they could take along the road.
JKA’s Menu + Ala Carte

JKA’s offers a wide range of dishes that are mostly with Chinese and Filipino influence, actually Asian Fusion Cuisine as they coined it. On my visit I was able to try some of the dishes they are offering. The dishes actually made me feel like Mom was just cooking at the kitchen preparing he masterpiece recipe for the kids. It was homey. Some of the Ala carte that I truly enjoy includes Sinigang na Hipon (Php 380), Spicy Spareribs (Php 310), Beef Salpicao (Php 350), Caldereta Especial (Php 350), and Buttered Chicken (Php 250). Take note that there serving is huge enough for 2-3 people. Ala Carte dishes starts at Php 220 with the highest is Php 450 which is already a Shrimp Dish. Dining at JKAS Place is truly right on the budget specially if you are eating along big groups: family or friends. The Restaurant is open from 11am to 11pm.
JKAS Place Buffet for only Php 299
Who would have thought that in the middle of the city you can still enjoy 10 different dishes, unlimited, for only Php 299! That is just insane that it beats even the famous/affordable buffet restaurants in Manila. Not just that, JKAS Buffet also include two desserts that you can enjoy, perfect to cap your heavy dinner. You can enjoy the buffet starting at 6pm to 9pm.

The Events Place
JKAS Place is actually created for two main reason, to cater dine-in customers as well as to host events. With that in mind, JKA’s prepared half of the place specifically dedicated for celebrations and events. With their long lists of former catering services, putting one in their now so called home base would be easy-peasy. When I visited one time, they even had an event that extended up to the open space/parking area outside. And it was lit! If you would want to have a more private lunch, dinner or meeting, JKA’s Place also got a second floor to accommodate a more intimate celebrations.
Free Entertainment Every Friday & Saturday Night
Plethora Band
At exactly 7 in the evening every Friday & Saturday, JKAs Place offers a different mood as the entertainment begins. Live band and acts are all free to enjoy by all of the customers. On our visit, G7 and Plethora Band performs. It was a fun night with friends, while we enjoy both the buffet and the music. One can even request a song or jam at the stage which actually can take the dining experience at JKAS elevated.
Final Verdict: JKAS Place Restaurant, Catering & Events Place
For Php 299, who would still be complaining for a wide variety of dishes for a very affordable price. As a matter of fact, that Php 299 can only buy you two drinks at a coffeeshop or one small dish in a fine restaurant, but here that Php 299 is a whole different level. Add to that the entertainment every Friday and Saturday night, the ambiance and accessibility of the place, JKAS Place Restaurant and Catering is definitely a place you should add on your bookmark and visit specially if you came from a long drive from the north or just looking for a fine place to eat along Congressional Avenue.
