Pioneering the famous Giant Butterfly Squid, Above Sea Level Bar & Resto now opens its very first standalone restaurant located in Maginhawa Street, Quezon City. Offering a wider range of menu and drink options, Above Sea Level in Maginhawa could be the perfect place to chill or have a fun night out with friends.
I was able to visit this newly opened restaurant and try a few of their specialty, The Giant Butterfly Squid and Bacon Wrapped Shrimp to be exact. It was enormous that the squid serve to us can already satisfy 2 to 3 people. Thou I find it a bit salty at first but combining it with their really tasty vinegar saves it.
Mostly concentrating on selling deep fried squids and shrimp, Above Sea Level restaurant also have an added line up of dishes from Crazy Sushi Manila.
The Giant Butterfly Squid Family starts at Php 180 (Giant) for 1 person up to Php 450 (Groot), which is good for 4 already. Ordering the Giant butterfly squid comes with Free Java Rice.
It kind of look like an Alien but it is really good!
One of my favorite was the Bacon Wrapped Shrimp which is sold for Php 240. Just imagining my two favorites together, Bacon and Shrimp! Yum!
If you are visiting in a group of 3 better to enjoy their Seafood Group Pack for aside from bigger serving you can also save extra. The Seafood Group Pack options includes; Squidfest at Php 490, Seafood Festival at Php 380 which includes Crabs, Mussels, shrimp, corns, and sauce made of crab fat and Squid Fries sold at Php 250.
And just like what I said awhile ago, they are also serving ramen and sushi courtesy of Crazy Sushi Manila. Crazy Sushi Manila’s Ramen can be purchased either for solo or for 2 persons. Priced at Php 220 for solo and Php 290 for sharing, Crazy Sushi Ramen choices includes Tonkotsu, Spicy Ramen, and Black Ramen.
For the Maki you can either choose Spicy Salmon Maki or California Maki. They also re-created the dish to a so called Sushi Donut that is available in Salmon Cream Cheese and Kani Cream Cheese Flavor.
If your visiting in a group, getting the Crazy Sushi Group Pack would be ideal. The package includes Tonkotsu Ramen, 8 pcs. California Maki and Crazy Ramen Long, which is one of their best seller, priced at Php 490.
They also got acoustic and live band performances every night.
