Translated as Hain sa Bukid, Apag Marangle is a restaurant situated in the middle of a fish pond, serving authentic medley of mouth-watering Kapampangan dishes and related cuisine perfectly complemented by an inviting native architecture.
I was able to visit the place when I was invited to attend this years Lubao International Balloon and Music Festival. Through the #VisitPampanga campaign, the bloggers and other media where also invited to experience the different things Pampanga could offer, which includes dining at Apag Marangle.
Upon our arrival, we were brought to their biggest covered area. I think this is the main restaurant. The other tables can be found lined up next to it covered in bamboo huts.
Before our heavy lunch, Apag Marangle head chef, demoed a quick sinigang recipe. Aside from learning the proper way of cooking it, the main purpose of the presentation was to highlight that they are using real ingredients and without preservatives.
Here are some of the dishes we had for lunch.
I was not really able to get all the details of the food and even the prices for we are all really hungry on that moment. Will try to go back again next time and complete this blog post.
