It was in year 1997, when the hit song “It’s like that” was remixed and released by House DJ Jason Nevins. A year after, the remake become a sleeper hit that sold around 5 million copies world wide. I was still in high school back then and I remember how this song influence the society not just in the U.S. but all around the world.
Kids nowadays wouldn’t be able to really feel how it was back then but thank God there’s youtube and music channels already. At least, the millennials can still enjoy the 90’s hits while the kids can just google back history and enjoy this kind of music.
It was nostalgic whenever I hear this song played again. And it felt a major throwback (in style) when I’ve see the newest collection from the streetwear brand Oxygen.
Oxygen just recently launched its line of official licensed music mechanised featuring music icons the Rolling Stones, Run DMC and David Bowie. The launch was held in a festival-inspired shopping weekend at the Mega Fashion Hall.
I was actually excited to see everything or to even take them all. Fans would enjoy the 12 different style/design per featured artists that includes graphic tees at Php 499, pullovers at Php 799, hoodies at Php 999 to Php 1099 and jackets at Php 1199 to Php 1299.
I personally love the graphic tees as well as the jackets. I also took some 3/4 and pullovers to complete my take home collection.
To know more about the collection check out the hashtags: #OxygenxBowie #OxygenXRollingStones #OxygenXRunDMC. Also visit them on social media: @oxygenclothing. Oxygen is available in the Philippines and Vietnam.
Until our next discovery in the City!
