I wonder how it felt to be in London, a place I always heard about and usually seen only on movies or TV. Its influence is worldwide and it is one of the most sought after place visited by Filipinos.
I haven’t got a chance to be in any place in Europe but visiting would definitely be a memory of a lifetime, with so many world-class sights to see like the Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, Abbey Road, Nothing Hill and other landmarks that would fill up an entire list!
One person has been too lucky recently, winning a round trip ticket for two to London, just by singing!
Costa Coffee’s #SingYourWayToLondon promo just made one lucky winner fulfill his/her bucket list!
Last October 16, 2017, I was able to witness 5 lucky finalists battled it out at the Costa Coffee Robinsons Galleria branch with a British song of their choice for a chance to fly to London! The five finalists was handpicked from hundreds of entries who sent awesome videos while singing a British song.
The five finalists include Pia Alfonso, Maqui Castelo, Inna Velara, Maki Santos and Jyl Orila. After a short introduction, the five finalists went head-to-head as they sought to impress the judges: social media influencer David Guison, singer-siblings Kiana and Paolo Valenciano, and Atty. Gilbert Millado, General Cousel of Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc.
At the end, Jyl Orila bagged the title as the first #SingYourWayToLondon winner who sang Adelle’s “Rolling in the Deep”. Jyl received an all-expense paid trip to London, as well as other prizes.
