E! Bloggers Ball lit up with the Philippines’ top social media celebrities
The most awaited social media influencers party returns as E! Entertainment hosted the E! Bloggers Ball for the second year. It was actually a good initiative for E! on putting this up for it is something vloggers, bloggers, social media influencers and some celebrities are really looking forward too before the year ends (And it is a huge advantage for E! as well on having influencers giving a free buzz online). I may not like dressing up but maybe once in a while it would be okay, and the E! Bloggers Ball perfectly suit the occasion.

I was trying to peg #johnnydepp last night for the #Ebloggersball event (less the long hair). But felt that maybe adding a few more accesories will do the trick? Did I even pull it off? Few weeks before the Bloggers Ball: A visit at the ICE FAD
There was still a little bit of hesitation attending the ball even if I was able to receive the physical invitation. For one, I felt that attending will incur a lot of damages in my pocket (you know buying new clothes or shoes, grooming, making sure I look good, stuff like that). Second, I still do not have clothes to wear, and third most of my friends who attended last year decided not to attend this time.
Nevertheless, the hesitation comes to an end when a designer friend agrees to let me borrow his clothes.
Clothier Levenson Rodriguez has been known to introduced the highest form of tailoring in the country since April of 2005. Also known as Lev, his line of credentials in the fashion industry has been countless, from creating one of a kind bespoke suits to dressing up known personalities, educating new breed of designers and having numerous magazine spreads to even bringing his creations in the international scene. A former Educator at SoFA, and Creatur-in-Chief in Fashion Designers’ Alliance (FaDAL) Manila, Lev now have his own school of design called Institute of Creative Entrepreneurship – Fashion Arts & Design (ICE-FAD), which he considered as the newest and most innovative school for fashion entrepreneurs. (Check out Stained Glass by Levenson)
I visited the school a week before the Bloggers Ball. ICE-FAD is located at 101 Lower ground, East Wing, Shangri-la Plaza, EDSA corner Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong, Philippines. It was the very first time me and Lev met personally as well (It is so weird sometimes to think how todays friendship mostly starts online). Lev manages to bring four different sets of clothes for me to try on. I was lucky that all of the clothes fits me well (it means my body size are almost model size haha minus abs and some muscles!). I had a hard time picking which one to wear so Lev decided to let me borrow two of his creation.
From Belmont Hotel to the Ball
4pm on the day of the ball, I arrived at Belmont Hotel. Everybody was already in their rooms for I was two hours late on our call time. MJ manages to book 3 rooms at Belmont Hotel, which was totally perfect for it’s proximity from City of Dreams where the ball is to be held. 2 or 3 hours is also enough for us to prepare for the grand night.
I actually brought two sets of suit on that day and I was still undecided whether to wear the Violet or the Pink suit at the grand ball. My mind was saying that the Pink would be an awesome scene stealer but the violet could be dashing suit for the night. I was torn between the two, but at the end decided to do a low-key approach by wearing the Violet Suit instead. Here’s how I style Lev Rodriguez’ Pink Pompadour.

My friends also decided to wear something extravagant for that night. Each of them got their own flare to showcase. Truthfully, we were more excited to take photos with the suits on rather than being early at the ball.
Before we leave Belmont to the ball, let me share you a few more things about Belmont Hotel.
Belmont Hotel Manila is only a 5-minute walk away from Ninoy Aquino International Airport’s Terminal 3 via the Runway Manila footbridge. That is why if you are on a business travel coming from other parts of the globe, booking a room here could be very ideal. As you walk across the hotel or even Inside your room you can enjoy the scenic view of the the Manila skyline. Each accommodation in Belmont Manila exudes elegance. Young and experienced travelers here for business or leisure, can bask in comfort through their amenities. We truly enjoyed the pool as well as the saunas here in Belmont. The rooms in this hotel in Pasay City could be a bit compact, but modernly designed to be efficient in every way.

E! Bloggers Ball 2017 (#EBloggersBall)
Riding in two vehicles, the squad arrived at City of Dreams around 8pm. E! Bloggers Ball was held at the grand ballroom of City of Dreams which was also the same venue last year. The call time was supposedly 6pm, when we arrived the event wasn’t started yet. All the attendees were hold at the grand ballroom’s lobby area. I was actually expecting to do a red carpet walk this year but it didn’t happened.

While we waited, guests were treated with a portrait shoot with the acclaimed photographer Dookie Ducay. A 360-degree photo area was also there as several backdrops inspired by the “vapor lights” theme specially created for those Instagram-worthy photos.

We didn’t left the ball without having a nice squad shoot off course. After the ball, my friends decided to dress down and party somewhere in BGC. The night was such a revelation for me and the stories will just be kept and left at the place where we spent it.
