Devant Philippines launches it’s newest campaign called 7:30PM TV Get Together that urges everyone to spend time with the people they care about by watching their favorite shows on TV every 7:30PM.
I think one of the best thing of living in the 90’s is that you were able to get the best of both worlds. I consider it a transitional decade where all manual activities is starting to be converted into something digital. From typewriters to computers, telephones to cell phones, floppy disks to portable hard disk and so on and so forth.
I remember our very old analog tube tv, (the ones with wooden doors) where one should need to go to the tv just to switch it to a different channel. On those years, I remember, me and my brothers tend to go home as early as 5 in the afternoon, after playing the whole day, just to watch the likes of Bioman, Shaider and Maskman. We were so into TV viewing that the usual dining table was vacated because the kids are bringing in their suffer straight to our sala.
Another TV show the whole family enjoyed was called “Regal Shocker”. It was so popular in the 90’s that the stories are still being talked about by kids even in school.
But today, things had been too different. With the advent of technology, you’ll see kids playing on their phones instead of interacting with one another. You will see families living in their computers instead of watching and bonding in front of the tv set. It was way too different from what I had in the 90s.
