One of the most sought after province in Indonesia is our next destination to visit! Known as the Island of the gods, the island of Thousand temples and Bali Dwipa, Bali is a place where culture, unique art, nature and the sea are combined.
First word that I said upon seeing this view : WOW!
And we did used a special ride going down there. See the photos below.
I’ve wanting to visit this island ever since but honestly been hold back by the high airfare prices from Philippines to Bali. Most likely I’m one of those people who are always on the look out for sale. But luckily, I’ve been given a chance to visit the place through Trip of Wonders Indonesia.
Be aware of the monkeys! They seem cute but they are expert thieves.
An Indonesian friend of mine is also living in Bali, and his stories and photos makes me consider to also visit this place.
From Jogja, we took an early two-hour flight going to Bali making us arrive at 11 to make way on our lunch to be held at Sunday’s Beach Club.
This makes the destination easier to reach.
Here’s our itinerary for the day:
11:00 – 12:00 Lunch at Sunday’s Beach club
12:00 – 15:00 Beach time!!!
15:30 – 16:00 To Uluwatu Temple
16:00 – 18:30- explores Uluwatu Temple
19:00 – 20:30 Kecac Dance
20:30 – 21:00 Seafood Dinner
22:00 – 22:30 Check in at Golden Tulip Devins Seminyak
There is a 3-hour beach time! Finally. But actually that time frame is a bit insufficient and will only be allocated for photo-shoots. Knowing bloggers, most of us would probably be busy shooting OOTD’s along the beach. Which is what really happens when we arrive at Sunday’s Beach Club.
Check this out!
Most of the tourists here are European, Australian and of course Asian including me. They so love the sun. Which I didnt really bother at all. 🙂
Sunday’s Beach Club view on the other side.
Lunch is serve! and I’m having …
… Seafood Pasta!!! Btw, pork lovers would enjoy Bali for most restaurants offer pork dishes.
Chill time while the others are having a photoshoot.
The always smiling faces of Jia Qin from SG and Longdy from Cambodia. They both discover that they were office neighbours in Singapore.
Solo party at he beach with Leya.

look who’s hiding
I wasn’t really planning of dipping in the beach so I invited Kama and Ruth to play volleyball. But ruth can’t keep up so she decided to just take some photos. Here is the Volleyball battle between me and Tito Kama. Guess who won!?
Before we move to our next location, which is to Uluwatu temple, let me give you first a few tips you can use when you visit the island of the gods, Bali.

Five Quick useful Tips for first timers in Bali, Indonesia
Such a lovely day. #wheninbali #tripofwonders2016 #wonderfulindonesia

- Weather – Expect a tropical, warm and humid climate all year round in Bali, with two main distinctive seasons: Dry and Rainy. Wearing comfortable clothes like shorts, tank top and/or light wear clothes is recommended.
- Best time to visit Bali – High season is during the months of July and August. Also in holidays like Easter, and or December till the first week of January. If you don’t want to pay for high price accommodation or be with the crowd, book a flight to Bali on the months not mentioned above.
- Get an Adapter – Expect the 2 pin socket and plug in Bali as well in the whole Indonesia. I did not expect this when I visited Bali making me very problematic on how to charge all my gadgets. The pins they use are round, not flat or rectangular. And don’t forget to check the voltage of your devices. The voltage standard in Indonesia is 230V.
- Timezone – when I visited Jakarta, there was a need to adjust my watches an hour later than Manila time. But in Bali, I need to put It back for the time in Manila and Bali are the same, which is an hour ahead of Jakarta.
- Transportation – It is left-hand traffic on Bali. Scooters and car rentals are available. But I suggest walking could still be the best way to explore Bali. And by the way, UBER and Grabtaxi are also available in Bali. But in many areas drivers are afraid to go because some of the local communities are against it. I guess that’s one of the reason why when we book an UBER from La Favela, we were force to walk a few blocks away from our place just to meet with our driver. It was said by one of the locals that the legalities of UBER and Grab is still unclear in Indonesia.
We still have two more destination places to visit before heading to our hotel in Seminyak. Off we go now to ULUWATU temple to watch the amazing sunset view and Kecac Dance.
Coming up! ULUWATU TEMPLE!
