Greenwich #UltimateBandkada Season 2 finals night. Plethora as this years grand winner.
Eight new bands are on the spotlight as they compete for this year’s Greenwich Ultimate Bandkada Challenge Season 2. The finale night happened at Valkyrie in Bonifacio Global City. I was able to enjoy watching every entry coupled with unlimited pizza and more from Greenwich.
It was one of my long time dreams to be part of a rock band. When I was in college, I was so envious with my classmates who will go straight to their rehearsals in a nearby studio rental right after school. I may not be able to master any instrument, but I was dreaming before that I could be able to sing wholeheartedly in a rock band. Well, that portion was still a dream till now and I bet, even music is a part of my life, I already accepted that mastering it would take me a lifetime.
Seeing the stage full of promising artists is something of an inspiration. On their young age they were able to find a group mates to pursue their passion in life.
The event was hosted by Andre Paras, Yassi Pressman & Monthel Munez and from hundreds of entries. Eight bandkada finalists was selected and was able to perform at the culminating event. These are ABCG, Ace Form, Alab, Happy Ending, Musico, Plethora, Relentless & Shalom.
Each bandkada created an original Greenwich theme song that contains elements from at least two (2) different genres the band used for audiotion, e.g. Bosa + Rock or Reggae + Rap.
I was surprised that my friend, Gio Levy (Also: Gio Levy, Wingstop Flavor Ambassador) was a vocalist for one of the band, ABCG, which is the band members names initials. It’s a well thought name I could say.
I personally like Musico’s original composition, which I think is fitted perfectly to a Greenwich Commercial.
At the end, Plethora was hailed as this years Grand Winner, winning a Php 100,000 and a management & recording contract. My friends band, ABCG was placed 2nd (Won Php 60,000) and Happy Endings for 3rd place (Php 40,000).
My friend, Ruth, also won Greenwich GC & Tickets to Maclemore Concert on the 22nd! She won using me and Charlene as a tool! Lols! Here is the winning photo.
