(disclaimer: Not a hardcore tech reviewer, but I’ll give you an experiential approach on how this headphone could fit in your lifestyle)
Music has been part of my life since the first time I’ve learned how to sing making it a very important ingredient to my day-to-day living. I may not be good in memorizing lyrics or trivias about the artist but I can say that I do have the ears to know which ones good and which one is not. And to make that possible a good sounding speaker or a pair of earphones or headphones is a must. Let me introduce to you BlueAnt Pump Zone.

Inside the box
I got my hand on this unit a few weeks ago, but I haven’t really used it instantly. The box was big that I thought there would be a lot of accessories along with it. Anyway let’s just check what’s inside the box. Watch the video:

How to connect:
First, I would say that it is really important for you to read the user manual, specially if you’re using something for the first time. That is to not cause any damage to the unit or to misused it. (Who else are guilty aside from me?)
To be honest, I did read the manual but still, I got the confusion and difficulty in connecting the unit to my phone. I actually tried 3-4 different units (iPhone, Samsung, Oppo and Huawei) but unfortunately, The BlueAnt PUMP ZONE is still undetected.
I almost gave up, not until I’ve got a chance to talk to Seph Cham, a friend of mine who also own a unit, and told me that I must press the power button around 10 seconds and not 5 to activate the Bluetooth function.
And it worked! It was easily detected by my unit and I was able to use it perfectly.
Wondering how far can the bluetooth cover? Well, you can go as far as 30 meters (100 feet) away from your phone (RF Coverage). Gosh! That’s almost equivalent to a 10-floor building, right?
Battery can lasts up to 30 hours playback which can be charge for less than 2 hours. If you run out of battery, a 3.5mm Aux in connector is also available that can easily be connected and enjoy the music while charging it using a micro usb connector.
VERDICT
I really like the idea of using a bluetooth earphone or headphones because for me, cables are always a hassle. The BleuAnt Pump Zone delivers that along with a crisp surround sound that once you put the headphones in, you’ll feel everything’s moving with it.
I also love the idea of making it a folding device, taking only a small space in your bag. The case was very helpful to make the life of your gadget longer. The only problem I encountered was the Bluetooth connections (which I told earlier), the manual states 5, while in reality you needed to press it around 10 seconds. Another thing is the longer I used it the more it felt heavier over the head. I feel the stress as well in my ear using it for more than a hour.
Maybe because of the weather as well. But I think this would be perfect in colder environment. Using it outdoors is just okay, but in an air-conditioned room, this could be very suited.
But should you buy it? I have no question about how it sounds or/and it functions, the unit looks very sturdy and probably could lasts pretty long, so If you’re looking for a quality product The BlueAnt Pump Zone could be right for your pocket.
