Our cat (who visits our house to look for food), is originally owned by our neighbor, just recently gave birth to four cute kittens! I thought the mom recently placed it outside our house but a few days ago, we found them hiding inside my closet. All the kittens are girls and got the same features like their mom who I think is partly Japanese Bobtail, they all got short tails.
I was so into cats recently and it was a FUR-pect timing for my friend to invite me for some coffee, so I suggested for us to visit Cat Cafe located in Maginhawa, Quezon City.
Cat Cafe in Maginhawa is a small coffee shop who houses rescued/adapted Puspins. The place is quite hard to locate for it is located at the 2nd floor of the building at the corner of Maginhawa and Makadios Streets.
Here are some of the things you should learn about Cat Cafe
- Cat Cafe is located on the second floor of 189 Maginahwa St. cor. Makadios St., Sikatuna Village, Quezon City.
- The cafe is open from 12:00 noon to 10:00 pm everyday from Monday to Sunday.
- Street parking is available, and you can follow the signs to the cafe when you get to the building.
- There is an occupancy limit of 22-24 persons in the cafe per hour. During peak periods, a 1-hour time limit will be enforced to preserve the harmony of our cats’ cozy abode.
- To ensure a safe and orderly environment for both cats and humans, they have several house rules for all our guests to abide by. It can be found before entering the cafe.
I felt a bit intimidated actually to come in for the first time. Upon entering the vicinity, you’ll find a wall full of sticky notes, on the other side, you’ll see the house rules. The bathroom is also located in this area. And before entering you’ll be asked to take off your shoes as well as to sanitized your hands.
There’s a Php 200 entrance fee for an hour visit. The Php 100 goes to CARA Philippines and the other Php 100 can be consumed for food and drinks. They got a few choices in the menu.
Remember that when you are inside, you shouldn’t take photos with your flash on, lower your voice when talking and cats aren’t allowed to be carried not unless permitted. I think I’ve visited the place on a wrong timing for almost all of the cats are sleeping. Well cats do take a nap for almost 16 hours and more so I guess its quite hard to catch them awake.
All of the cats are listed in the wall and is waiting to be adopted. You can own one just by visiting and making an inquiry.
I was actually expecting more about the place, I thought it was big and spacious and a lot more, but still its a nice place to hang out with specially with friends who adores cats and by the way, I love the cats playground! The food and drinks weren’t that great but the experience here makes it stands out from other coffee shop. I just hope we visited the place when all of the cats are awake! That could be fur-mazing!
