SPACE EDSA – Redefining Dormitory

When you say to me the word ‘Dorms’, the first thing that would pop up into my head are my college years. I remember the time when I was still studying in TUP (Technological University of the Philippines) taking up Computer Engineering Technology, I remember that I got classmates back then who came all the way from Visayas and Mindanao  just to study in that school. What they did was to rent dorms near the school vicinity. It was a small space which you shared with four or more new people.

For those living in the near provinces from Metro Manila, going  to that school is still tough. I personally was living back then in Bulacan and was struggling everyday, taking an hour or two of my time just to reach school on the dot. But I opted not to live in dorms but decided to move in to my uncles house in Manila. But for some of my classmates, living in Dorms would still be the best idea.

In the present setup, my new ‘Dorm concepts’ are comparable to Condo Units or apartments. Working in Metro Manila could be so much fun, everything’s here, the only fallback is on the pricing for the rent is quite expensive plus getting home means braving the rush hour and siting for another 3 hours stuck in a traffic jam. Whereas if I would be just living near work, the time you I’ll allocate on traveling could been spent on sleeping.

Recently, I discovered this convenient and affordable living solution that could resolve a lot of problematic individuals.

Redefining the word dorms, SPACE EDSA is designed to help as much Filipinos to have the privilege to enjoy taking one ride or walk to work. The idea is to allow each Spacer to live near where they want to be.

The redefined dormitory living is located at 167 EDSA Mandaluyong City, at the third floor of Major Homes headquarters. At the moment, it has air-conditioned rooms for 4, 6, and 8 people priced at Php 4,200/ month for each bed. Spacers can also enjoy the free use of common kitchenette, living, and dining areas, free use of the gym 24/7, as well as electricity and water. Good catch for that price!

As to what they said, they are on the works of putting in Spaces in different busy location in the Metro. Bed spacers are also renewable each month.

“Here at Sace EDSA, we understand the hassle of long and tiring commutes, especially after a whole day spent in school or the office. So , we want to provide Filipinos a space that they can call home but does not require them a time-consuming travel.” Says Quinto Oreta, President.
