How sweet can you be this February? Well, if you felt having a problem showing that to your loved ones, or maybe wasn’t really confident on how sweet you could be, well here’s something you should try. Bring your date at NIU by Vikings and experience that Lindor Chocolate-Themed Buffet!
A Sweet love Affair at NIU by Vikings
Chocoholics would really appreciate this special themed buffet prepared specifically for Feb 13 to Feb 16, 2016.
I was invited over by my friend, Ruth who was looking for a date and experience #AVerySweetLoveAffair with Lindor chocolates presented and mixed with different dishes.
Here’s what we had:
Prelude a un Baiser
For appetizer, they serve the Prelude a un Baiser or in english Prelude to a kiss (appetizer right?). It’s a Spiced lindor Prosciutto bread with chocolate sauce off-course by Lindor. I love how they combined that sweetness and spicy taste, its pretty much addicting!
Joining it was the hearty NIU Minestrone, It was supposed to be taken along with the bread, but I just cant help it and finished the bread first. The minestrone on the other hand is packed with so much flavour with lots of herbs and tomatoes on it. I can say that as you sip it you’ll probably feel that sinigang kick at the end.
Ménage au Trois – Household of Three
For the main entrees, first serve was the three-mushroom and Spinach Cannelloni. It is truffled creamy Portobello, shiitake and button mushroom, spinach filling and cheese and is served on a bed of Pomodoro sauce. Yum! I was a bit curious and thought it was presented with pork or fish, but the combination was just enough, it is really good!
Je Vous Aime – I love you
Next was the Spit-Roasted Chateaubriand in black Lindor Truffel Sauce.
Followed by the Vegetable Stack and Pulled grass-fed Lamb leg in lindor port wine sauce.
And lastly, the Slow-Cooked Pork Belly in Lindor Dark Chocolate BBQ Glaze which I totally love and quickly finished! The pork was super tasty and soft mixed with a superbly tasty sauce!
Mon Amour – My Love
Capping up our night was the luscious love triangle! Lindor Ganache, hazelnut buttercream and coffee diplomat-filled cake!
It was presented pretty well that I don’t really want to ruin it! But its food and so inviting!
It was a delightful evening and surely your date would be amazingly happy (specially if she or he is a chocoholic) if you’ll bring him/her here at NIU by Vikings. You can avail this special menu starting February 13 to 16, 2016. It will also be part of the buffet, but you can always ask the waiters if you wanted it to be plated just like what we had.
