The Voice Kids season 1 1st runner-up, Darren Espanto bagged six awards at the recently concluded Wish Music Awards produce by the promising FM radio station WISH 107.5 held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last Tuesday, January 26, 2016.
Darren Espanto took the most number of awards including the Best Wish Cover (“In Love Ako sa Yo”), Best Wishclusive Performance by a Young Artist (“Chandeleir”), Wish Ballad Song of the Year and Wish Original Song of the Year (“Stuck”), and Wish Young Artist of the Year. Darren also received the Viral Video of the Year award for his Wish Bus performance for Sia‘s song “Chandelier”.

Adding to that, Darrenatics Fan Club also won Most Wishful Fandom for making the top threading hashtag in the Fandom battle held last Friday, January 22.
What’s different from this award giving body is that each of the winners of the major awards was awarded a Php 100,000.00 and was given to their chosen beneficiary.
Aside from Darren among the big winner includes Jason Dy, winner of the second season of “The Voice of the Philippines” won 4 awards including the Wish Male Artist of the Year while Morissette Amon bagged two which also includes the Wish Female Artist of the Year.
Winners won on the basis of online votes and by the select panel of judges. The event was hosted by Robi Domingo and Gretchen Ho.
