A small hall-in-the wall place in Kamagong that offers satisfying comfort food, Pizza World could have been very new in the Pizza industry but already presenting some great potential. Read on and satisfy your cravings with their freshly baked brick oven pizzas!
It was a Friday night, and as we all know, a Friday night at 6pm could mean a horrible traffic scene in almost all major roads in the city. I don’t know why I scheduled a pizza night on a Friday for I know the fact that’s its going to be like this on the road.
But nevertheless, I’m already here and the Pizza night is still on! Some of my blogger friends have confirmed there attendance. It was difficult to get a ride along Chino Roces, and the vehicles moves like turtle. That is why I decided to walk my way from Makati Cinema Square to Kamagong street where Pizza World is located. (I was thinking, this pizza should be worth my walk!)
Pizza World opens just a few months ago and is owned by Dentists/Entreprenuers – Dr. Farzaneh Shamsi and Dr. Shahideh Nikbin. If you still remember, I talked about them and their Spa (Aramesh Spa) and Dental Clinics (Fashion Smile) in my previous blogs, will try to go back and try their spa again soon!
They got their first branch located in Kamagong, it’s a small-cosy place that is set –up to be like a hang-out place. The interior is mostly wood with a touch of maroon and shades of red color. Looking outside you could probably feel that it’s a take-out place but guess what, you can make “tambay” inside for hours because they offer free Wi-Fi for diners as well.
Pizza World guarantees to serve freshly baked oven pizza, offering more than 15 different flavors. Pizza is served either in 8, 10 or 12 inches and ranges from Php 209 to Php 559. They got lists of what they called “World’s best” which I think is Pizza World’s specialties. They also got some starters, pasta, rice meals and some choices of drinks.
When Yuki and Duane arrived, we decided to order my all time favorite – Hawaiian Pizza (Ham, pineapple, bacon and mozzarella cheese) and Greek Pizza (shitake mushroom, spinach, feta cheese, mozzarella cheese) for we thought two pizzas would be enough for the three of us. Dr. Far suggested for us to have a bite of the Pizza World Special, which is a combination of Hungarian sausage, ham, bel pepper, Parmesan and cheddar cheese, and we where glad she suggested that! The restaurant is an over the counter service and menu is located just beside the counter, so upon entering you can go straight at the counter!
Food was serve 15-20 minutes and just like what I said awhile ago, freshly baked! As always, Hawaiian Pizza never lets me down and I indulge to it and almost finish the 10 inches pizza, as expected it’s a sweet pizza with a little salty taste coming from the bacon. Contrasting to it is the Greek Pizza and Special, which got a salty flavorful tastes. I also love the crusts that even thou its thin it felt so full. We super enjoyed it at least it’s worth my long walk!
Pizza World could just be new in the business but diners are already comparing it to some popular oven baked pizza in the metro, which is actually good! Thou they still have lots of areas in the business that needs to be polish (like services, parking, menu etc.), still having this kind of pizza house in your area would be a good addition to your go to hang out places.
