Sometimes the problem with having a very nice ambiance and hotel accommodation is that it makes the person staying in the hotel too lazy to explore the city. I don’t know if it’s just me but this scenario is a thing that usually happen to me. Just like what I’ve felt when I first visited Azalea Boracay.
Woke up early on our second day, I still wanted to stay in bed but I decided to get up for breakfast, off we go to Obama Restaurant. Before I what i’m having for breakfast let me show you first what happened in my room. Thanks for the photo Ruth!
Mornings are extended when you’re lying in bed as comfy as this one (and if you are with someone very special). #azaleagroupgetaway #azaleaph #azaleainboracay _______________________________________ Video updates on snapchat: @nognoginthecity

Obama Restaurant serves American and Filipino breakfast. I ordered bacon and egg because i felt like an Americano this day Lol!. The restaurant got a nice view of the beach, it’s just wonderful to sip a cup of coffee or a watermelon shake while I people watch. And by the way it was my first time in this trip to feel the Boracay sand on my feet.
It’s Pocahontas in the flesh!
In the middle of our breakfast, Melo announced that our flight back home would be cancelled because of the storm. I felt a bit mixed up, happy because it means I can stay a day more in this beautiful island and worried as well because I only ask for a two days leave at the office. Let me think about that problem later on, for now let me enjoy my breakfast at the beach.
Right after breakfast, Melo, Myke and I went to Ilig-Iligan beach which is popularly known as the secret beach. It is located on the other side of Boracay. This should be your go to place if you want to be alone and away from the crowd. When we came, there are already a few foreigners sunbathing and snorkling.
I was hesitant at first to dive in but the beach is just so inviting to ignore. I found a cool place as well to do some photoshoots. Check out some of my photos.
The others was supposed to follow at the secret beach but decided to just go and explore the nearby places at the hotel. By the way, if you’re planning to visit and don’t want to miss an island activity and/or water sports, the vacation concierge at the front desk of Azalea Boracay can easily guide you and map out an efficient tour and travel arrangement for your maximum comfort and enjoyment. Hassle free!
I was still wet from my swim when we were fetched from the secret beach to head straight to the market for our lunch. Azalea really do know how to pamper their guests, we got so many food!
It’s grill time guys! We got tahong, crab, pork, fish and a lot more. It was too many for the group we asked to bring some back at the hotel.
After our heavy lunch, we decided to stroll around and take a plunge. It’s time for us to enjoy the beach of Boracay.
After our fun photo shoot at the beach using Ana’s phone with a newly bought waterproof pouch, We decided to head back to the hotel and continue our fun at the pool.
Azalea Boracay recently opened up its two rooftop swimming pools overlooking the beach horizon; an infinity pool for adults and a wading pool for kids located beside each other. Proper swimming attire is strictly being followed here, so better wear the right clothing before dipping.
The pool gets more fun at night with its multi-colored lights that flashes underneath.
And just like what I was thinking on the first day, Movie night it is! We decided to watch a fun movie “Hotel Transylvania 2” till past midnight. It was a memorable night of laughers and fun, I enjoyed the movie like it was my first time to see it.
- Breakfast at Kuya J’s
- Lunch at Melo’s Room and the epic Pax – Kare-Kare incident
- Dinner at Spider House
And to end up the day, Azalea Boracay set an in room wellness spa masseuse for all of us. This is definitely the pampering I needed!
I had an amazing time spent in Boracay. I may say, I felt lucky our flight have been canceled at least I was able to stay longer at Azalea. Thank you very much Azalea Resort in Boracay for the wonderful accommodation. I would love to bring my whole family here next time. Soon, Azalea would be opening up additional sites that includes Cebu, Davao and Angeles City. You can also check out Azalea Group’s first development in Baguio City which I also visited last summer.
