The best way to gauge if a product is good is by using it. And I do believe that you all agree to that. A few months ago, ASUS launches the new line of ZenFones that includes the most sought after phone by the “selfie” enthusiasts. Called as ASUS Zenfone Selfie, this phone sports 13 MP front and back camera. This phone is truly something to drool over by the selfie fans out there. But how great is it really as a phone?
I got my ASUS Zenfone Selfie a few weeks ago and been using it for quite sometimes. As its regular phone function, I have no doubts to its capabilities. Online videos and movies is favourably to view with its 5.5 inches, Full HD 1920×1080/403 PPI screen, Scratch Resistant Corning® Glass with anti-fingerprint coating Corning® Gorilla® Glass 4. it got a big storage of 16GB/32GB and can be expanded up to 128 GB micro SD. Lot’s of space to take snaps and selfies!
But the big question of course that I usually get from friends is on how great is the selfie camera functionality?
So I dare my self and put it into a test. I decided to dedicate a day and declared it to be a Nog-fie Day Challenge. My task is to do a selfie in each activity that ill be doing the whole day using my ASUS ZenFone Selfie. Will be taking both Auto and beautification function of the phone and will be shot in different lighting condition. Note that the shots are not edited and I posted it as raw as possible so kindly be kind on how bad-looking I could be in some shots. Let’s begin!
Nog-fie ASUS Zenfone Selfie Day Challenge! (November 5, 2015)
My day usually starts at one in the afternoon, because my day ends at 5:30am, I usually asleep from 6am to 12:30pm (or even earlier). But this day because I don’t have anything to do I woke up at 1pm.

My bed was a bit far from the source of light so I got up and do it again.

After prepping up, took my lunch and went out of the house. I only got two errands for today before heading to work; pick-up ordered item online at Alphaland Tower and attend the Globe Gen 3 x Star-Wars event at M Cafe.

The traffic was horrible on that day. My ride from Baler to North Edsa took me less than hour, which I can just walk for 10 to 15 minutes, so I decided to go down and take the MRT instead.

I came at Alpha land Tower around 5:15 pm, I picked up my new FujiFilm XT-10 which I’ll be using for my blog post very soon! I was supposed to be at M Cafe at 6pm but unfortunately I was stuck at traffic so I decided to book Uber Ride and waited for it for almost 30 minutes, so what did I do while waiting?

I came at the venue a bit late, the program was already starting and the venue was full of people when I came in. Globe telecom launches its new store Globe Gen 3 and Star-Wars merchandise as well. Fans would be very happy to see this. Will post a separate article about this soon. But for now here are some of the selfie photos I took at the event. This photos are shot using Beautification function at a very low lighting setting at around 8-ish in the evening.

I was at the event until 9:30 pm, to kill time and not to be stuck at traffic. I came at the office at around 10:45pm and Dj Faye of Wish 107.5 is still on board.
My Selfie Experience
The ASUS ZenFone Selfie is definitely a good catch at Php 11,995.00. It may have a big body that is quite hard to use single handedly (it usually slips in my hands) but the iRing was a big help for me in holding it. I have no problems browsing sites, watching movies on iFlix or Hooq and even making a draft of my blog.
When we talk about the selfie capability, I can say that if you mix it with a nice light source, your selfie would be perfect! But when I use it in the low lighting setting, there was a short lag in taking shots making me wait for a while before I can proceed to the next selfie shoot. Nevertheless, the beautification function is pretty awesome making most of my selfie shots flawless! You can still do lots of things using the camera, check this out;
