iZombie – Premiers 18th March Wednesday 9p.m.

I got a chance to watch a special advance two episode of the series and watching episode 1 already made me hooked! iZombie is a new one-hour series co-created and executive produced by Veronica Mars’ Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright.

Loosely based on a DC Comics series of the same name, iZOMBIE follows the non-superhero story of 25-year-old Olivia “Liv” Moore (Rose McIver) who juggles work, dating and friendships as a modern-day zombie. Due to her condition, Liv loses all traces of her former drive and ambition. She breaks off her engagement with fiancé Major, withdraws from her best friend Peyton, and tries to manage her worried mom after transferring her medical residency to the city morgue in order to gain access to the only thing that maintains her humanity— human brains.

However, Liv’s new diet makes her experience “visions” which are actually flashes of the corpse’s memories, often including clues as to how they were killed. After her boss, Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti, encourages her to embrace this gift, Liv started working with homicide detective Clive Babineaux to help solve these crimes.

Well I guess, I have just given you the plot, but not really, there are still too much to look forward to with this series. What I really like about iZombie is its easy and not too hardcore, gory, scary, heart-pumping zombie stories. It’s just Cool.

And I find Liv’s character very interesting, somehow I felt I was watching “Buffy the vampire Slayer” vibe.

Anyhow, see how Liv carries out her new-found purpose in “life” as a crime-solving undead in iZombie every Wednesday from 9 pm to 10 pm on the all-new Warner TV which is available on SKY cable channel 77, Destiny Cable channel 80, Cable Link channel 30, and Cignal channel 116. Until our next trip in the City!
