I love interesting landforms whether it be a hill, rock (like Mt. Manalmon), or a beach. The Sandbar at Puerto Galera is something that interests me much when I paid a visit.
Sandbar at Puerto Galera is a tiny strip that connects the island of Mindoro to Boquete Island, which is formerly called as Paniquian Island. Boqueto becomes an island (as to what the locals said) on a high tide. On a low tide you’ll get to see two beach fronts in one. At the east are the waters of Muelle Bay and to the west is the Balateros Cove. This place is perfect for Windsurfing and other water activities.
If you plan to stay at the island you can try the amenities of Sandbar Beach Resort. As to what I heard it’s slightly expensive compared to other beaches in Puerto Galera. But If you like a serene, secluded and not crowded place (comparing to Puerto Galera’s famous White Beach), this place is just right for you. Here’s a tip, don’t forget to have a taste of the Pizza it’s just delicious!
Unfortunately, we just passed by the Sandbar, had a short lunch and board on a mini-boat that took us to another adventure. I’m really looking forward of going back and try the other amenities of Sandbar Beach Resort. How about you? What do you think about this place?
