Running away from restaurants that offers fatty, unhealthy foods, but is totally delicious is something hard for me to do, especially if I don’t have any other choices. And with my busy schedule, I tend to make the cravings gone by hitting a very accessible fast food chain. I know lot of you can relate to that.
But what if you’ve been given a go-to-place where you can enjoy dining with healthy organic food without compromising the taste? Will you consider it?
If your answer was a big Yes! Then continue reading.
Check out the newly opened restaurant called Runner’s Kitchen, located at the busy street of Tomas Morato in Quezon City. Runners Kitchen opened its doors early this year (2015) not just to accommodate runners, but all health buffs/ individual who are looking for a guilt free meal, organic and yet satisfactory delicious.
With Glaiza de Castro
We got a chance to meet three of the owners of the restaurant (They were 10 who owns the place), the famous fashion photographer Xander Angeles, singer/actress Glaiza de Castro and Kon who is more hands-on with the business from them all. I was actually star-struck and was not expecting to meet them there, (I am a bit pressured now taking photos specially if Xander is around). They were very accommodating and it was a privileged to meet them all.
With Matt Henares, Chad Ramos, Azrael, Athena, Xander Angeles, Glaiza de Castro, Rodel Flordeliz, Florencio, John and Kon.
Xander expresses that originally the concept was to create a food truck but because of the permits and the other difficulty in putting it up they decided to make it to a full restaurant rather.
Simple, Artsy Interiors at Runner’s Kitchen
Runner’s Kitchen got a simple, straightforward yet detailed interiors. They play along with wood, metal and a lots of desk lamps. I just love how they creatively positioned the desk lamp at the counter.
And off course, the old silver flashlight converted into a hanging light is never to be missed! It always gets to be an attraction.
Xander’s hanging bike is also exceptionally a nice highlight piece inside the restaurant.
I could say, this photo actually depicts already the over-all concept of the store, healthy (bike) + Plants (Organic) + Runners (Owners) = Runner’s Kitchen.
Mornings at #RunnersKitchenPH.☀️ Enjoy your day!
