2014 has open up a lot of new doors to me, new travel adventures, new friends, new career, new learnings and a lot more. I’m very grateful reminiscing the adventures I had last year heres a flashback of some of the highlights of my 2014.
January 2014
The year opened with a kick-off celebration of the company (UNTV) I’m working with. I think I did a great job in pulling the retro feel (New Age Retro) in my wardrobe on that day. It was also this month where I got a chance to do a TV guesting in another TV station (GNN). My friend, William Thio is hosting the said program. My most visited blog post for the year 2014 was also created in this month. My DIY trip to Tagaytay where i got to try travelling with only Php 200 in my pocket. It was also the month where I got to be reunited with some of my friends from my Ilo-Ilo trip via 2Go Travel in 2013.
February 2014
The month of February took me into different places. I got to work with top production team in the country to produce Trip Magazine where Beauty Queen Venus Raj was the cover. I’m the BTS cameraman and the video editor of the BTS video. It was also the month where my article in Cook Magazine was release. February also took me above, beyond and under with my first trekking activity to Mt. Manalmon in Bulacan. I also had the chance to travel to Macau with friends Sheng and Rheena. It was my first DIY International trip.
March 2014
March started with a trip to Puerto Galera to attend the three day Malasimbo Festival. It was also the month where I got the priviledge to be feature as well in Manila Bulletin. I was just happy lined up with other famous people in the industry. I also got a chance to visit Boracay on this month. Had an overnight stay at Crosswinds in Tagyatay, Antel Hotel in Makati and capping the month is a concert by Macklemore held at SM Arena.
April 2014
This month is all fun that started with the launch of the newest recreational place in the North called Sandbox. I also got a chance to meet and expand my blogger connections through different restaurant reviews I did in this month.
May 2014
My older brother who is living in Singapore came back to the Philippines to get his his wife and daughter. And before leaving, we got a chance to bond at Splash Island in Laguna. I also got a chance to try the services at Sky fitness in Podium, did some pampaering with friends at Make me Blush, met my hosting idol, the dashing Joey Mead at the City of Dreams launch. And attended a singing class at Museo. This is the month as well where I finally got a copy of Macau Magazine’s March issue where I and Rheena was featured in full spread.
June 2014
UNTV 37’s Anniversary was held at the World Trade Center where I was one of the main host of the 3-day event. It was also the month where I got a chance to do my first ever ramp modelling gig for Fisher Malls, made possible by the World Blood Donor Day event.
July 2014
Different events and new friends in this month! Got a chance to try Archery at Kodanda, be like a snowman at the Tobelrone Snowtop event, did online shopping at Zalora, and ending it up with a voice over stint at Araneta Coliseum for UNTV Cup.
August 2014
A career shift was given! I am privilege to have the opportunity to be one of the pioneers of the new FM station, Wish 1075. Other events in this month includes, California Pizza Kitchen Pizza tasting, fun fair with Reese and off course the Rurouni Kenshin cast visit here in the Philippines.
September 2014
Got the chance to reminisce the 90’s with Nat-Geo‘s event. It was also the month where make-up transformation became viral!
October 2014
More projects came in this month, met new people and attended fun activities like Superdry event by nuffnang, introduction to food panda app, and my first Tim-Ho Wan experience hosted by Discovery Primea. I also got a chance to line-up fun activities with Mom and had our first Staycation together through Tune Hotel.
November 2014
My birthday month had never been too awesome, It was the month where Nuffnang picked me as their Blogger for the Month of November. Got my first ever partnership with a Photostudio (Photomark) where I can have unlimitted photoshoot, attended a blue carpet event by Sony, hosted a baranggay event for Nescafe and Coffemate, be a barista for a day with Coffee Mate, experience winter in Manila at Winter Garden Desserts and also had the chance to be one of the Habitat for Humanity online ambassadors.
I also did my first ever talk with the students of La Verdad Christian College. And lastly got a PMPC Star Awards for TV nomination for Best Lifestyle Show and Best Lifestyle Show Host for my program Bread n’ Butter. Amazing Month indeed!
December 2014
I was such a happy kid when I was invited to attend Bloggers United (thanks Pax & Ana), I was excited (they didn’t know that) it was actually on my 2014 goals to atleast be present on that event, but I was not just present because I also got a chance to sell some of my clothes c/o Englingorgeous! (thanks Earth!). Got some fun memories as well at the Fuji Instax event, our visit at Dencio’s and the instant photoshoot at Manila Bay, and did some shopping at the newly opened SM Makati beauty section. I also got a chance to watch the famous tennis players like Sharapova and Murray at the expensive 3 day IPTL competition held at SM Arena. Closing the month with a fun Staycation with friends at Widus, Clark Pampanga.
What an amazing year, many thanks to all who have been part of my year and to all the people who have acknowledge my work, to all my readers and to all the people I came across last 2014. Good or bad, you’ve been part of who I am right now. I give back all to the Glory of God!
