After having three restaurants in a row, (KatzDiner, Casa Quesadilla, Homies) next up is to taste some burgers at Big B Burgers.
Located just across Homies, Big B‘s can actually surprise you with the kind of twist they made for their burger specialties. You’ll find it out later in this blog post.
There is a Big B signage outside the store which you’ll never miss if ever your passing by the street. Fronting the store was the smokey open cooking area where you can actually order directly for take-outs or maybe lead your way inside to a more layback dining experience. (Heres how to go to Maginhawa street)
Inside was a black and white theme, it’s very manly I could say. The mood is warm with wooden chairs and tables with unfinished painted walls that became an accent as well to the whole design. The place was well lighted with light bulbs hanging in the ceiling covered with chicken wires. There is also some signage on the walls encouraging people to dine in pleasure.
The dining area also have an extension (lower level) perfect for groups. I think the semi-hidden factor of the place makes it a great hangout place for Barkadas.
Dining with friends Ryan San Juan, Ruth Dela Cruz, John Bueno, and Alex De Vera.
Big B’s started from partners Joelle Yuvienco and Erik Galvez, with their intention to save money for their future travels. Without any background in doing business or even cooking burgers, Erik’s love of burgers drove him to create a recipe that unexpectedly become a hit. They initially sold burgers with 50% beef and 50% bacon in UP during their breaks, later they put up stalls and sold burgers during events. With too many suggestions and inquiries, they finally decided to put up a restaurant and found a perfect spot at Teacher’s Village and opened up Big B Burger.
Here’s what we had on that lazy afternoon. Let’s start with some Poutine ng Ina Mo (Php 120). Catchy name for a potato dish, The Poutine ng Ina Mo is inspired by a popular dish in Canada but they recreated it here with a twist.
BallsBalls (Php 150) is another side dish here in Big B which is a mashed potato and meatballs topped with cheese sauce.
Presenting, Big B’s best seller and pioneer product Bacon x Beef Quarterpounder (Php 99.00). This is actually best partnered with their very own and unlimited “Awesomesauce!”
Here’s a tip to all who would want to visit the place, remember to order Pink Potion with Feelings (Php 35).
Here’s a scene that happened right after the potion was mixed with the carbonated water.
Seems like there was an argument happening … better find out what this is all about on your visit. Ok? Unfortunately, I Wasn’t able to taste and finished everything and left Big B bit earlier than the rest.
I’m sure to be back in this place the soonest! or might as well order the yummy burgers from Big B‘s over Food Panda app, which you can download via iOS or Google Play. You may also order foods from Big B’s online via https://www.foodpanda.ph/.
You may also order foods from KatzDiner, Casa Quesadilla, or Homies.
