IMAX Mall of Asia is bringing back the 70mm projection system for Interstellar.
Interstellar is about a group of explorers’ journey through space-time to secure a future for humanity. The movie stars Matthew McConaughey, Wes Bentley, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, Ellen Burstyn, John Lithgow and Michael Caine. Interstellar is helmed by Christopher Nolan, written by Jonathan Nolan and Christopher Nolan, and produced by Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Lynda Obst. The film opens in IMAX Theatres and SM Cinema digital theatres November 6.
The 70mm delivers the brightest and clearest images through its projection system that features a resolution 10 times that of the standard projection system. The stunning full-color visuals of the 70mm projection and the state-of-the-art digital sound of the IMAX Theatre combine to deliver the world’s most immersive movie experience.
Interstellar will be available in IMAX Digital format as well. The IMAX digital projection uses dual projectors with sub-pixel alignment to produce clear, high contrast images. It also uses powerful, laser-aligned digital sound and customized theatre geometry for a powerful movie-going experience. IMAX North EDSA, IMAX Megamall, IMAX Southmall,
IMAX Aura Premier, IMAX Clark, IMAX Cebu and IMAX Lanang will screen Interstellar in digital format. The experience in both IMAX 70mm and digital formats is spectacular.
