Lights turns on, a lady in white standing at the stage uttered the first note. Starting in a soft mellow rhythm, the song progresses, taking the audience to wander with heavenly tune. As the song reaches the final moment, everyone awed with enjoyment as she hits the last note. No wonder, Beverly Caimen bagged the Best Interpreter Award of the night, with her rendition of the song “May Awa ang Dios” writen by Louise Lyle Robles which eventually hailed as the grand prize winner of A Song of Praise Music Festival year 3.
Louise Lyle Robles took home a plaque and cash prize of Php500,000 for composing the song “May Awa ang Dios.“
Marlon Nabia’s “Sa Bawat Araw” placed first runner up sang by Shane Velasco. Second runner up for the song “Tanging Gabay” composed by Arniel Villagonza, interpreted by Rachelle Alejandro, while the song “Biyaya” composed by Meldin Nabia interpreted by Bayang Barrios placed third.

Peoples Choice Award – “Hanggat may tinig ako” by Jinnie Adilan, interpreted by Darly Ong.
It was a closed competition and judges have a hard time picking the winners. The panel of judges includes, Wency Cornejo, Mr. Willie Nepomuceno and APO Hiking Society, Danny Javier, to name a few.
Chairman of the Board of Judges, Mr. Danny Javier, is very grateful of being invited and learning about the program ASOP TV.

“From beginning to end, I didn’t regret a single second being here, it was an unforgettable experience. I don’t know what to say, na-touch ako, akala ko it will just be an ordinary thing for me like judging a competition, hindi pala ganuon, na-involve ako bigla, parang na-feel ko talaga siya,” – Willy Nepumuceno.

A Song of Praise Music festival is a song writing competition which airs every Sunday from 7:00pm to 8:30 pm in UNTV, Your Public Service Channel. The show is hosted by Mr. Richard Reynoso and Ms. Toni Rose Gayda, with Doc Mon Del Rosario as the shows in-house judge.
