✪ Pasig City, Philippines – On UNTV Cup 2 Semi Final Games, Judiciary Magis and AFP Cavaliers faced off on game one.
The AFP Cavaliers was able to establish 3 points on the first quarter with 15-12 behind Pascual’s 8 points. Despite Jon Hall’s 11 markers on the second period, the Cavaliers was able to maintain their lead on the first half, 37-34.
On the third quarter, Camaso’s comeback was felt and this didn’t affect Cavalier’s performance. AFP Cavaliers was still able to take the lead after 30 minutes of action, 56-50. On the final round, Eugene Tan’s experience and 3 point shooting experience became an advantage was they took down Judiciary Magis with 75-67.
Cavaliers’ #58 Alvin Idanan of PHL Air Force was named as the best player of the game with 16 points while Tan, Pascual and Sergio has combined 40 points. Meanwhile, Jon Hall led the Magis with 19 points while Camaso has 14 points and 12 rebounds.
AFP and Judiciary will face again next week for a do-or-die game to determine who will advance to UNTV Cup2 Championship.
On game two, MMDA Black Wolves faced PNP Responders. MMDA and PNP had close fight as they were just exchanging leads from the first half to the third period.
On the fourth quarter, the MMDA Black Wolves won over PNP Responders with 9 point margin, 88-79. Black Wolves guard PJ Villanueva is the best player of the game with 25 points while Santiago and Sanders has combined 37 points. PNP’s Olan Omiping led the team with 25 points while Criste and Abaya combined 32 points.
Next week, both teams will face again for a deciding game. ヅ
