One of the images taken from UNTV DroneIt was first shown over the national television used to show Tacloban’s aftermath and was also use to cover the recent procession of the Nazarene in Manila. Currently UNTV is using the drone technology daily for traffic updates shown in different UNTV programs.

Drone or also known as an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), is an aircraft without a human pilot on board. It’s a cost effective way to be use in coverages compared to renting helicopters. The drone currently used by UNTV (DJI Phnatom) can record both pictures and videos and can fly up to 900 feet.
