I still remember those days when I was young, that my mother used to bring home Isaw or chicken feet she bought in the neighborhood before going home to be our “Ulam” (viand) for the evening. It was a delicious meal that I can’t stop putting rice on my plate until I’m full and can’t put on more food on my stomach. Well that was long time ago…those memories stroke in my mind as I enter this new restaurant in Tomas Morato called Bar-B-Skew.
Well what the connection? Bar-B-Skew is one of the newest restaurant here in Quezon City, that has a very unique offering. Bringing our favorite Isaw, Chicken feet, pork liver, and the likes to the next level and putting it on a more presentable place. Bar-B-Skew is the has the first and only automatic Char-Grilled skewer restaurant in the country.
At Bar-B-Skew Buffet, they have more BBQ meats than you can poke a stick at. Plus you can enjoy the unique experience of cooking your own skewers right at your table on their one of a kind BBQ machine! Pork, Chicken, Fish, Vegetables, Fruits, Marshmallows, and much, much more.
On our visit to the place, I actually have a hint just looking a the name of the restaurant. Bar-b-skew offers an eat all you can skewers which is perfect for groups of people, barkadas or family that are longing to eat BBQ in a clean and wonderful place.
At a price of Php 299 one can enjoy the Eat-All-You Can Skewers Buffet. According to the owner, Mr. Wero, variations for the skewers are scheduled to make their customers keep coming back.
Aside from that, as to what filipinos love to do, BBQ could be perfect with a cup of rice. Bar-B-Skew have also prepared different buffet viands that are available if your not into eating skewers. Thou one of the cons of getting the buffet is that one should need to be finish eating an hour and a half from the time you started, this could be a big hassle if you’re with your friends chatting for long hours, but nevertheless, if you visited the place just to dine and enjoy the skewers, I guess that duration could be enough.
If your into a more exciting view, their are also tables outside the restaurant, which I actually prefer the most. For people who are on a tight budget or maybe looking for a more affordable offerings Bar-B-Skew have also created an all day value meal that starts at Php 79 only consisiting of 3 skewers of your choice with a side dish and rice.
There are actually still lots of areas they could improve to better serve thier present and future clientele but all-in-all, Bar-B-Skew was a good concept. I definitely would recommend it to people who are craving for a more cleaner place to enjoy their “Isaw” and off course to friends or families who are looking for a place to enjoy dining and eating with thier favorite skewers.
